Hi, just wanted to introduce myself real quick. I am Kayla & starting induction tomorrow. I've read the book cover to cover & am convinced this is a way of life that will actually work for me. I know induction will be difficult, but I am so, so tired to the cycle of low fat/high carb diets.
I've been doing a lot of reading here & have gotten some great advice already. Looking forward to posting more. :)

Thanks, all :) The first 2 days of induction went well. I know I'm still probably in the "honeymoon" phase of it, but so far, I'm really liking Atkins!

Great... I like it too. It is definitely something you can live with. I'm not sure you can live with some of the other diets out there. I can't anyway.
I really LOVED it last month when I lost 14 something pounds. This month I've only lost 2 to 4 depending on the day. But I am expecting it to pick up again soon.... I hope anyway.
What's wierd to me about Atkins is how you can lose inches and not see any pounds lost (sometimes).

Exactly! After, oh about 9 years of going up & down the scale, I've really finally learned that low fat/low calorie/high carb does not work for my body. I can force myself to follow it for a while. But I always, always fail on it. Atkins definitely seems liveable. I just hope I can keep this much enthusiasm about it long-term! :)
