Thought I would pass these along...a lot resonate with me...how about you?

You can overcome any obstacle you encounter
You always say no to any activity that jeopardizes reaching your goals
Each failure or setback increases your determination to succeed
You are willing to invest the time it takes to do things right
After every failure you experience, you always get back up
You use fear as a tool to motivate you to become the best that you can be
You love achieving goals that other people think are impossible
You are now free from all fear of being judged by others
After every mistake, you learn all you can from it and then let it go
Your time is too valuable to waste on things of little or no importance
Your critics fuel in you an intense desire to succeed
When tough decisions need to be made, your purpose always guides your choices
You are immune to the effects of fear and worry
Whenever you make a mistake, you forgive yourself, let it go and move on
You push yourself through any pain or discomfort in order to succeed
You are willing to endure numerous setbacks to reach your long-term goals
You delay short-term pleasures in order to reach your big victories in life
You believe that with focused effort, you can achieve anything you desire
You reject all excuses for failure
You overcome all problems because you tackle them head-on
No matter how discouraging any situation may look, you always keep going
You are very prepared to sacrifice little pleasures in order to achieve big victories
You see failure as a valuable tool in learning what you must do to succeed
You see failures as only temporary, as just detours to your goals
There is never an excuse good enough to justify not doing your very best
After every mistake or delay, you quickly get back your positive momentum
You forgive and forget those who criticize you- you have more important things to focus on
You make great decisions and take the right actions even under the most extreme pressure

For some reason I found that list very disturbing. I didn't like it much and I can't exactly say why. Maybe it was the use of the word "you" so much. Some of this doesn't reflect my way of looking at the world at all, and in fact some of it seemed counter productive to my goals and methods of achieving what I want.

It is like saying "if this isn't you, there is something wrong with you." or something. I disagree.

You use fear as a tool to motivate you to become the best that you can be

That one seemed a but off to me, but I could relate to some of the others. Although I know for a fact I am not free from the effects of fear and worry!:D

Thanks for sharing!

It was a list I got off a goal setting, self-determination website. I used the list in relation to my weight loss goals. I particularly like the following:

"You are very prepared to sacrifice little pleasures in order to achieve big victories"
Pleasures for me is the little x-tra snacks and food.

I most definitely use fear to motivate me...because nothing else will. I have tried sugar coating my problems with fiood and excercise, but that has not been working for me. I am dealthy afraid of dying a slow death because of my obesity. I am afraid of diabetes, blood pressure medications, lack of mobility etc. These fears are motivating me enough to do something about it, finally. I agree...fear tactics don't work for everyone. And for everything else in life, I usually use the opposite and that is approaching everything with LOVE.

The following also rings true for me....
"You see failure as a valuable tool in learning what you must do to succeed"
"You see failures as only temporary, as just detours to your goals"
"After every mistake, you learn all you can from it and then let it go"
"Whenever you make a mistake, you forgive yourself, let it go and move on"

There have been countless times that I feel like giving up when I can't stick to my goals. I really must learn to let it go and move on...it is only practice, right?

And lastly....I really need to take this one to heart....
"You reject all excuses for failure" Because God knows, I have many good excuses, but when it comes down to it, that is all they are "excuses."

It is interesting to me to see how some poeple took these sayings. Everyone has their own way to motivate. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Some of these ring true for me, some don't. That's the good thing about these types of lists, even if after reading it you feel that nothing on it applies to you, at the very least you've thought about these things and maybe learned a little something. Thanks for sharing.
