Default Summer Clothes-Can't Wait!

O.K. I know we all have different weight loss goals. But this summer, we ALL are gonna be down in weight significantly, I don't care if you are 300lbs right now or 130! So this summer, what are you dying to wear?

Me, I wanna wear some size 12 at the beginning of this summer and hopefully down to a 9 at the tail end of the summer. I wanna try to be so bold as to wear a swimsuit and go to the beach.

I can't wait to reintroduce my long time friends halters into my wardrobe!

Anyone else?

I'm definitely in need of new shorts -- all of the ones I have are at least two sizes too large. A new swimsuit would be nice, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet -- my current one is about six years old, but it's a tank top/shorts bottom combo and I have yet to find something that flatters as well on this fluffy bod of mine. I don't get out much to the beach anyway (at least prior to this year...who knows what's in store this summer!)

My weight is currently stuck, but I'm hoping to lose 20 or so more lbs before May/June, and will have to see how things fit to decide what I need to get. By that time, if I manage 20 lbs, I'll be at a total 50lb lost from last summer, and I know I'll need other stuff!

Speaking of summer clothes. I decided to try on my shorts from 3 years ago this morning (the only clothes that I saved before I gained a bunch of weight during law school). I don't know what compelled me to do this but I was excited when they fit! So now I am super excited to be able to wear my size 10 shorts when it gets above 30 degrees (no idea why I can fit into size 10 pants comfortably and maybe squeeze into an 8 every now and then and still all shorts seem to be made smaller).

Last summer was a I'm not being caught dead in shorts summer...so hopefully this coming summer will be different.

Fun thread! I'm so excited for summer. Last summer I barely fit into my "old" clothes so I bought some outfits in a size larger. Then the newer, larger clothes started getting tight. That won't be the case this year!

If I feel a little better about my body this summer (regardless of what the scale says) I might treat myself to a few tanning booth sessions. I don't mind being pale, but my legs look glow-in-the-dark and I know when it gets warm I will want to wear skirts without nylons and not blind everyone

Well, my goal is to be a UK size 12, which is a US size 10. if I lose 2 lbs a week I'll hit that at the end of August.

So most of the summer I will probably be a size 14 and I have some lovely 14 summer stuff left over from a few years ago. of course, I will buy some new stuff. But I have piles of shorts and dresses in a 14. I will need to buy work stuff in a 12 though. I teach so it'll be back to work in September in a 12 - hopefully!!

I also have some really nice evening wear that I can't wait to get back in.

I'm comfortable in just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. This will be my first summer in years where I'll be able to walk around in jeans instead of big baggy sweats. Even in summer I wore those blasted sweats.

I won't miss it.

I bought a bunch of stuff in June for a trip that fit me nicely for all of maybe a week. By the end of the summer I couldn't fit in them. So, for this summer I'd like to be able to fit into all of the new stuff I bought and barely wore.

I'm also looking forward to wearing no sleeve tops...all the better to show off my newly muscular arms!
