Default Not wanting to get hopes up

My hubby comes home late May or early june..so roughly i have 4 months to get some results. I need to lose 110 lbs over all but i know that losing that much in 4 months isnt realistic or healthy. Does anyone know what a decent goal is? And do you think if i stick with this and work hard that i will lose enough to atleast have results that are noticeable??? I am gonna stick it out reguardless cuz i need to be at my goal so i can enjoy life but i just dont want to fall off the wagon cuz i was disappointed in how much i lose by the time he gets home.

OK, that's about 20 weeks, give or take. I would say plan on 1 - 2 pounds a week. I would aim for 30 lbs. I have a similar time frame for you for my next goal, and I am planning for 20lbs, because I am further along the weight loss slows down, and because I weight train, I confuse the scales.

What you need to remember is, you are reversing habits you have had for a long time, and you need to be putting into place new ones that will last you a lifetime. For me, concetrating on lifestyle changes that I could stick with forever was the big challenge.

It really depends on your metabolism, your COMMITMENT, exercise levels, what you are willing to do.

I lost my first 45 pounds in 4 months- NO cheats during that time, and lots of intense exercise, both cardio and weights, daily. No cheat days, no cheat meals, no "I deserve a break. It was pretty intense, but worth it to me.

Most others find a two pound a week, dropping to one pound later, more sustainable because you don't have to make such a drastic lifestyle change.

It all depends on you and your body chemistry
