I can count sparkling water toward my water intake, correct?

I don't see why not!! Count it! (It is just water with a little CO2, eh?)

(Especially since there is debate in the academic community re: 8 glasses of water/day. That was really never backed up by -solid- research, and some people think that it should be 8 glasses of liquids --including that from foods.- It's arcane in the same way that a 'healthy temperature' is 98.6. That's total crap. For the record, though, I am very pro-water. I drink about 3 liters a day and -totally- believe in the health benefits of water despite that 8 glasses/day business...)
