Hello everyone. My name is Paula & I started SB yesterday 11/28. Not new to low carb having done Atkins in '99-2000. Started with an online diet buddy and so far we're both doing great, even though it's only our second day. Been battling my weight all my life. It is the thorn in my side. But I see it this way: if I hadn't been watching and guarding my weight all these years, I'd probably weigh twice as much as I do! Have plenty of excuses for why it's hard, but once again have decided to look beyond the excuses and do "what I can."

My name is Dana. I need to lose 30 pounds to my goal. I am a recovering sugar-holic. LOL. I was a junk food junkie. Sometimes all 3 meals would come through a drive thru. I also drank Cokes, and only Cokes. This is the ONLY change that I have been able to go without totaly giving up on. I have been doing SBD since July. I hope SBD works for you! Pull up a towel!

One of the mods, Sandi, has a great quote in her sig. I think it's true about everything, but *especially* about dieting: "If you want to do it, you'll find a way, if you don't, you'll find an excuse." So true.
