Hi!

My last WW meeting everyone was talking about the Big Daddy Ice Cream. Have you heard of it? 2 points for a pint and it's really good.

Well, just a few minutes ago there was something here on the Atlanta news and I missed the most of it but it said the icecream has like 3x the calories and carbs that it lists...did anyone hear the entire story?

I have a freezer full of it

I just saw where you had posted and had to pop in and tell you HI!!

I haven't heard of Big Daddy Ice Cream but if that is true that sounds like more than an "accidental" mistake to me. I will keep my eyes and ears open...hope it's false rumors since you have a freezer full!! But gee ......a whole pint for only 2 points sounds too good to be true!!!

I cut and paste this info. for you from the "Food" Thread:

It has just been reported on our Atlatna CBS station on the noon news that the BIG DADDY has been labeled incorrectly!
Label now states Big Daddy has 100 calories and 3 grams of fat. Correct label should read 300 calories and 7 grams of fat. This changes the WW point. Instead of the entire carton which is 12 ounces for 1 point, it should be 3 oz. for 1 point. What a Bummer!!

That is just a cruel joke! Making us believe its 2pts for the pint! (not you guys - the label)

I never even heard of the stuff - I don't think we have it up here in Boston! At least I never saw it.

WColleen-Thanks! I heard everyone talking about it today again. I can't believe it went that long...someone said it had been out since 1995! I have an entire freezer full but I am sure the hubby will find somewhere to put it

I did think it was to good to be true...and of course we all know the saying........and 7 pts vs 2pts is a big difference.

Emmy and Tara-I just posted on the owls before coming here. I miss you guys too!

They reported here in the Tampa area, too.

They've taken them all off the shelves.

My local Publix couldn't keep them stocked - it's no surprise.

Oh well - it was fun while it lasted.....
