Default Extra Lean Ground Beef

I understand you can have a patty of Extra Lean Ground Beef in Phase 1. Any suggestions on what can be used to help it stay together a bit more? Things I usually use seem to be not allowed.

Thanks

I usually add an egg to a pound along with finely chopped onion and some garlic powder. What do you usually use?

you can also add parmesan cheese it holds the meat together great! Also if you are on phase two you can add oatmeal in place of breadcrumbs.

Sorry, I should have said. I do the same thing with onion, chopped garlic and egg. But in non diet-times used some bread crumbs or oatmeal to help it stay together plus a bit of HP steak sauce or worchestershire sause or other prepared sauce for flavour. I felt on Phase 1 all these were out. So my patties tended to fall apart in the pan.

Parmesan cheese sounds like a good option, so I will try it if I can find some low-fat. My neighborhood seems to have little in the way of low-fat cheeses that don't taste tike a strip of plastic or are soft like cream cheese!

Since I never much liked Chicken breasts in the first place I am having some problem with meat options in Phase 1. Although I have gone down 10 lbs in the first 7 days I do not feel I am eating enough, but re-learning cooking skills is hard.
