I could have sworn I started today's thread! Brain fart, I guess.

It's not raining, although it did last night, but it's cold, cloudy and darn windy! :( Please tell me this is NOT November and that Spring will come!!!

Two keen gardeners are arriving this morning to dig up some plants - they will dig, not me. I am going to try to get the urns at the Church planted today and maybe do some of my own garden work. However, I refuse to work when it's too cold so we shall see. The Girls are crabbing a bit this morning because I have closed the woodstove and it's chilly in the back room. I may need to knit them little sweaters! :)

The scale and I had an encounter this morning although I said I was going to ignore it. I'm up a pound from the weekend transgressions :yikes: but won't change my ticker because I know it will drop off today.

What's going on around your Beach Umbrella? Come and chat. :cofdate:

Morning Bamie and the rest of you chicks to come. It is a rainy yucky day here again today. It is starting to get depressing. I didn't get in yesterday as dh and I cleaned house, then I had a ton of paper work to do, which took most of the afternoon, then I went to the gym, then I taught my dance class. After all that I was tired. So dh and I snuggled and watched tv in bed.
As for today I am going to clean out my closet and finish my laundry and then do a little kitchen organizing. Not much happening with me..... What's up with you chicks??
Bamie-What are you doing to ds hair?

Morning Ruth you are right, I can't putter in my garden, not that I am much of a gardner but I like to pretend. Have a great day chick and that pesky pound will be gone before you know it. Have a great day.

Ok I cannot believe the infomercial I just saw! It ain't no wonder people think SB is a fad diet. Have y'all seen The Ultimate South Beach Cleanse. It's a bottle of pills you take to "cleanse" your body of toxins and especially if your eating low carb! OMG!

Mornin Ruth...I looked at it several times before I started the thread cause I thought well Ruth is up am I missin it! lol Sounds like a lil to much happenin for you today. Take it easy!

Little Chick...DS broke his right arm last Thursday so I am on hair washing duty right now!

happymom101....Good Morning! How exciting for your lil ones! Where do your parents live? Take advantage of the clingy days...trust me they will soon be gone! lol

I need to get some cleaning done around here today. Y'all chicks have a great OP day!

Morning Ladies:)

Up early  this morn,as my back went out Ughhh!!, just can't win,and now we a waiting the big Nor'easter that heading to us shortly. Predicting 60 MPH Gusts along with the heavy down pours. I guess:shrug: my formal at the Nursing home is out. No one :nono: will be out on the roads with this heading though us.

Bamie-Thanks for starting us up.Hope we all stay on the beach, holding down those :beach: beach :rain: umbrellas.

Ruth-Sorry:sorry: the scale didn't move in the right direction, mine moved up also ,but I'm changing my offical W-I to Wednesday as I finding that my weight in is down on that day.I don't know why but I think its being on Phase 3 on Sundays. According to an article I read in a health journal that when we eat it takes 39 hrs{woman}31 hrs{men} for food to pass though the colon and out the body.So its not what you eat the day before is two day before. Does that make sense.

Little Chick-Don't get depressed!! :stress: We're all in the Weather together. Remember stress:hyper: leads to over eating. :eating2:

Trish-Try to stay in a Sunny:sunny: Mode on this rainy stormy day. I love  anything made of of chocolate :chockiss: . The chocolate covered strawberries do sound Yummy. :smug:

Havbe anice beach day Hugs :)BB

Good morning all you beautiful chicks!
what a crappy day out! it looks like night time out there! and it feels like the end of November NOT the end of May!!!
The scale and I had a bit of a fight this morning...It said that i was back up to 144 but i dont beleive it....and just to show it who is boss I threw the whole stupid scale in the back of my closet and slammed the door!...I will now only weigh myself once a week.
Lisa and I went to the gym yesterday...I ran for a bit and then we rode the bike...wasn't too bad....I got Josh to do South beach with me i am very happy about it!! last night we made a whole batch of the "brownies"/fudge.... that only tastes good frozen...but at least we will snack on those instead of the bad REAL brownies!]

alright i have a feeling this isn't going to be a very good day.....love yeah

good morning, my new beachy friends.

my first day on SBD yesterday went really well. i am so surprised at how full i feel all the time on this diet. i can't figure out if i'm bloated or what (i have been drinking water up the wazoo) but i am really, genuinely full.

i did weight watchers for about three years and i never felt that full. strange.

anyway, i'm looking forward to another good day. no major cravings yet.

there are two events -- well, three actually -- coming up in the next two weeks of phase one that i have to prepare myself for.

one is a dessert party tomorrow for a coworker. plan: i'm going to bring jell-o as my dessert. (and i might also try to get rid of the watermelon DH and i bought a day before starting SBD -- don't ask me why we bought it!)

next will be a wedding this weekend. i love wine and champagne, and it's going to be hard for me to do without those. i'm guessing the food won't be a huge issue. there's usually some sort of chicken and veggies at weddings these days. anyway, i'm going to just have to promise myself that i'll reward my efforts with a glass of wine as soon as these two weeks are over.

the third is that i'm going to a writers retreat. i thought i would be into P2 by then, but it looks like i'll have three days of P1 left. strategy: bring OP snacks with me (it's a camp setting and you can bring your own cooler) and enjoy the activities offered, like canoeing, kayaking, hiking and yoga.

Good morning, everyone. Aren't I on early this morning.....it's not my planning period yet, but since all but one of my first period have been kicked out of school  , it's pretty low key in here. :D Had a day yesterday---had to do homeschool for one of my "sweeties" after work (oh, and yes, luckycat, I do middle school, for two more days anyway) then picked up DS and changed clothes at the sitters. Walked around the lake again with the stroller, including the 1.5 mile "very hilly trail." DH doesn't believe me that it's that hilly, but has he ever come with me? NOOOO. And he had no sympathy for my sore legs....Anyway, had to go to Whole Foods to get organic strawberries (conventional are one the most pesticided foods you can buy) and blueberries for DS birthday party today. (He choose strawberries over cupcakes! Good boy. :hb: ) Although it killed me to not even bite one to "see how sweet it was!" I love that store, but darnit it's expensive. That's a $20 fruit salad! But the kids will enjoy it, I guess......his theme is Thomas the Tank Engine, and he's very excited. But back to Whole Foods, as I was loading up the van, DS was throwing everything out of my purse. I stopped him and thought I got everything. As soon as I walked in the door--at 7:45 and still no supper!--DH comes to me and says "Where's the checkbook?" Turns out someone found it in the parking lot! Thank God for good Samaritans. Some unscrupulous person really could have done us some harm.

Anyway, have discovered that I cannot drink coffee before eating anymore. I did that this am, and felt soooo sick. Barely make it to the sitters before something bad happened. Still embarassing....By the way, had a South Beach frozen "dinner" for breakfast, the pork, pecans, and green beans/yellow peppers in a savory sauce, it was pretty good and filling. I ate it in my classroom as my student came in. I'd recommend it.

So, skye, that writer's conference sounds very fun. What group are you part of? Ruth, I hope you really did have good rest yesterday. And for all you wet chicks up north---may I break into song?---"the sun will come out, tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar on tomorrowwwwwww........" :flow2: :flow1: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: Sunshine and warmness vibes your way from sunny NC.

:goodscale: down 2 lbs today!

Morning chickies!

I'm feeling pretty good now that my deadline has come and gone. I just have one more and we should be past all this nonsense. I have to come up with a better way to keep all this paperwork. This is a very heavy paperwork business.

Bami - I wouldn't take the metamucil pills unless you are a very good pill taker. They have a warning on them that if you don't drink enough water while taking them they can dissolve in your throat and block your airway. With your family's history in the emergency room I wouldn't take the chance. Benefiber has pills you can chew without water. That sounds pretty good. Can you clean my house?

Sorry about all the bad weather in the NE - we are still a little cool - 47 this morning but at least we are having bouts of sunshine and rain. I'm glad I got the garden in this weekend. It is some kind of unwritten rule that memorial weekend must be crappy in Michigan. There is a huge flea market on Memorial day that I may go to.

That little girl was back to picking on DS again yesterday. DS said everyone hates her. I told him to keep his cool for two more weeks and then he is free for the summer. Then starts the very expensive summer camp season. :(

Does anyone know how many calories they average per day? I put my stuff through fit day yesterday and is was around 1500. I considered it to be a pretty OP day. Is that too many calories?

Good Morning Chicks!

The scale gods are smiling this morning! I am down another 2 pounds and wearing yet another outfit I haven't been able to wear for years...I am very pumped.

DH and I are going on vacation next week and I am sincerely looking forward to that. My grandparents live at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia and we are going to hang out with them and swim, boat, and play cards...We go every year and we have a blast!

It is really dark and yucky here today, so I can relate to most of you guys...I have a ton of work to do, but I must browse through the threads.

You guys have a great day!

What a lovely (read: cold, rainy, windy, foggy) New England day it is here! Angelshine and I are sitting at our desks getting ready for the day. The office has that dingy pale tint to it that comes from cloudy days with the lights on. Blah. I brought my lunch today (part-skim Moz. cheese and tomato salad) and for breakfast I had a hard boiled egg and celery (I took the adivce to add some veggies in the morning). I notice that I save a lot more money when I bring my lunch and don't buy fast food for breakfast. :D

I hope all you ladies have a lovely morning! I can't motivate myself to write more, it's just too yucky out.

Bamie, ugh about the infomercial! I would hate to have to guard a trademarked name...I can't believe the audacity of people who steal them! :yikes: Have fun cleaning...here's hoping it is all done early so you can sit back and enjoy the clean house! :D

LOL about the scale, Ruth. They just jump out at you sometimes, eh? You take care of that knee...no kneeling in cold earth. What are you putting in the church urns? about the puppy sweaters! I feel for them, though...It's frassing freezing in our house right now and the heat is off for the summer. Spring, where are you? :mag:

LC, you are a woman on the move! Wow! :cp: Hope you get a chance to relax today too! I hear you on the weather. :rain:

Wow, Happymom, I just realized you live in Maine! It is SO gorgeous there...DH and I visited last July. We drove from Portland up the coast, stayed in Camden, and made a day trip up to "Bah Hahbah" and Acadia. We really fell in love with the area. Hope you and your little ones have a good day. I know how you feel about having family visit. It's so nice to see them!!!

BB, so sorry about your back! Hope it feels better soon! :grouphug: You stay safe with that nor'easter, okay?

Chelsea...I know the weather sucks, but remember, "Thoughts become things--choose the good ones!" Keep a positive attitude :sunny: and things are sure to improve! :D Good call on the scale. Don't let it get you down.

Sky, lots of people say that one of the problems with WW was they never felt full. I love how full I feel on this plan! :D Your plans for your events sound ideal!!! Good for you! :bravo: That's a great example of how you can make this plan work for you and how you can do anything if you want it bad enough! :high:

Mamaeli, I'm so sorry you aren't getting more support at home. :( It really is helpful when you DH can work with you on meals. So glad that someone returned your checkbook...it's wonderful to know that there are good samaritans out there! Good for you on staying away from the fruit...and good for DS for being so healthy! :D

Anchor, unless you are tiny and doing no exercise (which we know is not the case), 1500 is fine. You definitely want to stay above 1200...get below that and weight loss tends to stop as your body thinks it's starving. You'll need to figure out what works for you--but you may be able to go as high as 2000 or more if you exercise a lot (which I seem to remember you do). Just make sure that if you are only eating 1500 that it's jam packed full of nutrition, okay? :D

Sunny, congrats on the 2 pounds AND the new outfit! :bravo: :cp: :hat: Great news! And the vacation sounds dreamy! :cloud9:

Gryff...with this weather, it seems like a perfect day to be reading the new HP book...but we have to wait... ;) Yes, I'm saving tons of money on food now that I don't eat out as much. I'm using the saved money for clothes, massages, and the like. Much more fun!

Me:
Still hanging out around 212. :crossed: Tonight is a late eating night, so it'll be up a bit tomorrow, but that can't be helped. I can't wait to be done with school so I can eat at a regular time again! 9:30 is just not a healthy time to eat! :(

Last night we had the most delicious meal! :T :cloud9: I'll post the recipe in the forum under Phase 2 entrees--it was sort of like buffalo wings, but made with chicken tenders, a little canola oil, and low fat (homemade) blue cheese dressing. We had it with green beans and couscous. Yum!

Have class tonight. Have to go do some homework! I took last night off and just snuggled on the couch with DH and the puppy. It was so nice!

Have a great day, chickies! I hope the sun comes out tomorrow! :crossed:

Hi Ladies - I'm a newbie and starting day number two of the SBD. I just cant believe how tired I was yesterday - had wanted to go exercise, but that was not going to happen!!! My biggest question is - can I eat anything more than just my two snacks? Yesterday I had stick of cheese in AM and Almonds in the afternoon - but I ende dup eating twice the ammount of almonds I was supposed to, I felt like I needed more energy. Also, how much diet coke can I drink? Do I have to stick with caffine free?

Good luck to you all! Jennifer :?: :?: :?:

Morning Chick Peas!

Rain here too, blah! As long as it disappears for the long weekend (I am off until Wed) then I am set.

I got a check in the mail last night so it looks as though, if HB (since she isn't a DH, we'll call her a HB) agrees, we can sign up for the gym tonight. It will be the first time I am back in 3 months! SB will commence on Sat! No self sabotage here...Memorial Day will be filled with OP foods, or I will die trying

Also in other news, I was proposed to last night!!!!!!!!!
:dizzy:
No ring or anything yet, but we bought a few brides magazines and set a date. So of course, I want to be at goal by March 1, 2005, 6 months before we "marry."

Excited? Me??? Naw!!!!!!!!!!

We're going to do it in her home town and while it won't be LEGAL, that's ok. As long as we can profess our love for one another in front of a group of people who accept us, it's all I care about.

So yes, very, very exciting morning here...

Skye -- sounds like a great pre-plan!! Congrats to you!

Laurie -- now you've got me wanting buffalo chicken tenders, yummy!

Have a great day all -- wish I had some sun to send!

Morning all! I only have a minute because I am at work. Usually I write before I leave, but this morning I was dealing with a "situation." There are these girls in my daughter's class who signed her autograph book and wrote "i hate you, i really hate you" under their names... now of course, the momma in me wants to go to the school, rip off their heads and spit down their necks, BUT the adult in me had to explain to Olivia that, while I understand she was being nice in asking them to sign her book, she doesn't owe them anything. She can be civil and say hello, but other than that, she need not go out of her way to try to be nice to these girls who have done nothing but harrass her all year long. So she happily ripped that page out of her autograph book and tore it into pieces and put it in the trash. I told her she should kill them with kindness and when they are horrid to her (which they are on a daily basis), to just smile her biggest smile at them and tell them to have a nice day, even though that may not be what is in her head to say.

grrrrrr... kids can be so mean! and it kills me when they treat her this way because livvy has a heart of gold. she's not perfect, by any means, but she is just as sweet as can be. i'm not sure why these girls dislike her so much... livvy asked me what she should say if they ask her why she tore the page out of her book. i told her they probably wouldn't but if they did, she could feel free to tell them that her mother said that they could sign it when they were mature enough to act like 11 year old girls getting ready to go into middle school...

ok ok ok ok...i'm done venting now.... sorry to have droned on! i'm just so irritated!

HottieInHiding
05-24-2005, 11:23 AM
Aileen: That's just terrible about the girls. I taught middle schoolers - and currently have one - so I know what it is like. It wouldn't have been bad for your daughter to show the page to the teacher, even it it was an "accident." You know, "Mrs. Smith will you sign my page... right here..." ;) But I think that way was great too. Acting like it didn't bother her and being nice will make those girls so mad!

JENNIFER: Being tired might be part of a lower blood sugar, but I eat more than 2 snacks. I eat when I'm hungry. Eat more than just almonds - I eat some nuts and a piece of cheese. Or I add veggies to my snack. Read the boards - lots of good advice here!

Weather is GREAT in Texas :) Sorry to gloat :) 90's, and not very humid here. It will be and then I'll be moping about the heat and you all will be in the 70's and your turn to gloat.

My kitty is doing better :) He's eating - and I think he's going to be ok. He's not eating a lot, but at least it's something.

3 more days of school.... YEA! and my hubby is out of town til Saturday - so I think the kids and I are going to do something fun this week to celebrate! (Like a pool or waterpark - not food!)

Have a great day :)

Morning ladies!

Jenne - CONGRATULATIONS! I'd like to be goal by August or so....and then maybe down a few more by May 20, 2006, our date. Are you planning yourselves?

All your chicks with Chicklets, they'll be out of school and in your hair soon, don't worry!

yup, planning ourselves. It's a bit difficult as it's not a traditional wedding (like anything I do is ever simple). But she's from Maine and we're going to do it in gay friendly Ogonquit so we should be able to figure it out. We already found the invites we want (cream with 2 wedding dresses on the top) and know the colors, but not shades (pink and cream/white, even though it's a fall wedding). So when we go to ME in August of this year, we can hunt places down. We'd like to do it by the water but as all weather is unpredictable...

We've looked at dresses and of course rings. I think she'll start saving and give me one for x-mas (she's set on getting me something kinda expensive whereas I'd be happy with one from a $.25 machine "lol"). We'll both wear dresses, but not be walked down the aisle (which is sad but she doesn't talk to her dad all that much and I am sure my dad won't even attend).

So, we're ahead of the game somewhat in my book. We'll have to commisurate Sarah!

Thanks for the well wishes too Lydia!

Sounds like you've got good ideas going! We're doing a spring wedding with an Emerald green and lilac purple accent colors, with white being the main color. Got engaged March 2004, and got my ring this past Christmas. 3/4 k diamond set in 10k white gold. It's beautiful, but much bigger than anything I needed! I'm planning my own as well, and I think I'm going to get the software to help with organization. Shelby, our German Shepherd-English Setter is going to be our flower girl/ring bearer. It'll be a trip.

Jenne! That is AWESOME!!!!!! Many many congrats to you!!!! You will have to keep us updated with the wedding plans etc...I am excited for you. I have never been to Maine but I heard it is beautiful. Your invites sound beautiful too!!! yay!

Ruth...I have had encounters with things before too..that haven't ended up well..like my TiVo remote and the wall...smashed into many little pieces..lol...I learned my lesson..

So, guys...I am still doing a little "crash" type thing..not really bad...just a lot of ff cottage cheese and veggies until tomorrow night...need to look like a HOTTIE to impress my DHs new General Manager...I have to be the "Trophy Wife" hehe!! He always teases me about that..cause I am a wife of a manager...and he has to have his trophy on his arm...like I really am a trophy..it's our little joke!

Well guys...Sammi is doing so much better, removed the bandages yesterday, she looks a lot better today...

So, gotta work today too..hate that...but, I will check from there.

Jb, you need more veggies! They will fill you up and keep you regular. So have some with your cheese and some with your nuts, and then a lot more at all three meals. You're aiming for 4.5 cups a day!

You may feel tired, achy, and have flu-like symptoms as you detox. This is normal and usually lasts about 3-5 days. If it continues past that time, consider seeing a doctor. In the meantime, go easy on yourself. No exercising until the second week of Phase 2 unless you feel well enough. LOTS of water (at LEAST 64 oz of plain water a day). This will help flush out the bad stuff in your system and convince your body to let go of the extra water it's holding in fat cells. Eat good carbs like beans (these are Phase 1 wonder food!!!), bell pepers, and tomatoes.

You can have 2 servings of caffeinated beverages a day. Decaf Diet coke is unlimited, but be aware that it doesn't count towards the 64 oz of water you need to get in each day. If you throw a ton of diet coke on top of that, you'll be floating and living in the bathroom! Diet Coke also makes you thirsty.

Be really careful with the nuts. They are very high in calories and fat and will do you in quickly if you overdo. Instead, eat some veggies or some beans. Okay? You can do this! :cheer:

Jenn!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :hat:   :cp: :grouphug: What great news! :D I wish it could be legal, but as you said, what really matters is letting the people you know and love know that you are committed to each other for the long haul. Planning for a wedding is so much fun! Now we have two brides-to-be on the forum...and I expect to hear details, chickies! (can you tell I'm a hopeless romantic???) Speaking of which, Adia, do you have a dress picked out? I'd love to see... The colors sound amazing for both of your weddings. Maine is SO romantic, Jenn...what a WONDERFUL place to have a wedding, especially in the fall! I have friends who walked each other down the aisle. :) Or had friends walk them down the aisle. In our generation, in many ways our friends are often closer than family! :D I hope that whatever you do (including JoJo the ring bearer! ) makes you both happy and makes your day super special!

Adia, how are you feeling? I'm still trying to find the recipe on the Cooking Light website. It was from the June issue, and I don't know if they have the recipes up yet... :chin: I love that your dog will be flower girl/ring bearer...that's awesome!!!

Oh, Aileen, evil girls! When you get a free minute, read Queen Bees and Wannabes...it's a great book about how the ways girls bully each other has much deeper consequences than the physical bullying boys do, but it's rarely dealt with. I think you did just the right thing. One thing you might suggest is that Olivia and her friends write letters to each other telling each other what they like about each other (did I say "each other" enough in that sentence? ). Then she can keep those letters to read on days when the mean girls get her down. Plus, in middle school, she'll be free of them in some ways...there are more kids and less chances to interact in those ways. I hope she retains a great sense of self esteem in spite of those mean girls! :grouphug:

Go Fishin, I hope the house isn't too messy! Try to figure out what you'll eat at lunch before you get there and stick with it! :coach: You can do it, girl!

Thanks everyone. Was a bit apprehensive about posting about it -- this type of wedding seems to put people on edge and is controversial so...

But I am glad I did. I am sure once rings and dresses and places are picked, I will post galore!!! :)

Ah, Jenn, I think the idea might be controversial to some people (not me! :D ) but when it's someone you know and love, it's very hard not to be thrilled for them. :goodvibes: Our forum is such a very supportive place, and I love that. Thanks, chickies! :grouphug: I'm SO glad you posted your happy news! I'm jealous about your trip to Maine in August...it is such a truly lovely place. :cloud9:

Jenne - Love is Love, period. Especially around this forum. :)

Beachgal - Thanks for posting that! I'm defintely gonna make that soon. I'm feeling ok. Over the weekend I almost had a hospital visit as I had severe abdominal cramps. Called my mom and she figured out that my liver and spleen have enlarged due to the mono. So all weekend DF and BIL had me locked in the house and practically chained to the couch. DF cooked and cleaned and went to Wegmans to get pre-made Wheat Pizza Dough. I figured it would be better than ordering out. They ran out and he ended up searching for 3 hours for wheat pizza before buying white. So, I was treated to real pizza and I'm back OP as of Monday Morning. I'm just pumping fluids and staying away from caffeine and alcohol as they irritate this condition. Frankly, it sucks. ;) But I'm doing ok. Thanks for asking!

Good Morning Chicks!

I've got to start out by congratulating Jenn! :dancer: If you or Adia have any wedding questions, I'd be happy to answer for you! I've got a HUGE wedding this weekend. 500 guests and it's a Latino wedding. If anyone knows anything about Latino weddings then you know they can throw some big parties! This one will definitely be a killer for me but I keep telling myself that after I get through this, I'm off to Hawaii the next weekend! :beach: I can't wait!

This Friday, my granite is finally going in!!!! I am looking forward to my kitchen being just about done! Last weekend, I moved all the food and dishes in. I'm still without a sink which is making it tough but at least I can cook! I'll post some pics when it's done!

Not much else is going on. I'm swamped with weddings for the next few months and am hoping to squeeze in an Alaskan cruise the first week of August for our anniversary. I've never been on a cruise before and DH really wants to see Alaska. Looks like we may have a stop in Victoria, B.C. so I can at least say I've been to Canada when all of you talk about your weather!

I got to spend Sunday with Rylee who is doing well along with my sister. Rylee is the most quiet baby I've been around. She makes cute little noises and faces but barely cries. Hopefully she'll stay that way!

I've got to get going. I spend so much time catching up on posts that I don't have much time to post myself! I hope you all have a wonderful OP day!

Jenn - Congratulations! I am so happy for you! Please keep us posted. I love to hear stuff about weddings. You'd think I'd be tired of it after being married 3 times. ;)

Go Fishing - You're in Rockwall! Talk about close. I live in Richardson. Seems like we are getting lots of Texans on the board lately. Last night sure was nice. It almost felt cool with the nice breeze we had. I was really worried that the PTA picnic was going to be too hot after the weekend we had. I like Golden Corral but it seems like sometime it is hard to find OP food there and other times it is easy. Load up on healthy vegetables so you can avoid their desserts. The restaurant near me almost always has SF Jello so I try to focus on it and avoid the brownies.

Me - Tonight is the Pack Meeting. All 11 of our boys will get their Wolf badges and cross over to Bears. I can't believe they are growing up so fast. The pasta salad was okay last night. It needed lots more veggies though.

What a chatty bunch today! lol
Aileen...That is so aweful of those girls. I hope DD is ok. I know that has to be hard for her. Hopefully next year they will be far far apart!
Well it took me so long to read up on all the post that now my time is up! lol
Have a great day all!

LOL ruth -- we WERE thinking of it. Who knows where we would end up!!!

Her family won't travel so it's best to do it in Maine so they come. I have double the guests so she needs attendees ;)

Thanks for all the love you all!

I just sent her flowers (to arrive tomorrow) in what I hope will be our colors. What do you think:

I think I screwed up!!!!

I bought some of Sylvester Stallone's pudding (hi protein/sugar free) but when I read the label it lists dextrose. However it lists sugar as 0 grms. Is this legal on SBD? Crap - I had such a good run going.

Oh Anchor...Even if it's not this one thing is not gonna spin you out...just straighten up and get back on the road! lol I have no idea if it is or not but i thought pudding was not til P-2? I'll be waitin to see what the chicks say myself.

;) All right so it's going to rain ALL week! Who needs to go outside?

Well, I weighed in and I am down 10 pounds! I'm 160 now, and my clothes feel better. So hang in there chicks it isn't all bad!

There's nothing much happening in Albany, just counting the days to the school year ends ( 15 days of instruction before finals).

Congratulations Jenn on your engagement! :bubbles:

Bye, I'm too sleepy to write more ! :rain:

Ellis, miss you, hon! :grouphug: Hope this is a good crazy busy. Sending a prayer your way, just in case.

Adia, so sorry that you are having problems with your liver and spleen. Have you seen the doctor? That's what my mom did and she ended up laid up for a month. So no pushing yourself, okay? No business is worth your health and I'm sure your parents and DF believe that. :grouphug: I'm glad they waited on you. :) No worries about being OP...just get your health back on track. If you ask at the pizza counter, they can bring you out some frozen WW dough from the back. Then you can pop it in the freezer for later. They will also make their pizzas on the dough for you there, but you'd have to figure out a pizza that is SBD safe... :chin: I wonder if they would make just a crust for you?

Jenn, my heart stopped when I saw those flowers. They are gorgeous! She is one lucky, lucky girl. :D

CJ, your plans sound fantastic! :beach: You lucky girl...have a BLAST! :D

Amy, don't stress, hon. It's probably not enough sugar to count...kind of like Cool Whip Free. Just get rid of the rest and keep going. If you get cravings, do more Phase 1, but I bet you won't. When I was on the Friday of my last week of Phase 1, I had some 3 bean salad, not ever having eaten it before. I was shocked to find out it had sugar! :yikes: I still lost 14 pounds and I never had cravings as a result...I only ate one spoonful. You'll be okay either way. :grouphug:

Barb, your little guy is really growing up, huh? :twirly: Have fun tonight!

Wow! You ladies are up early~I had another cruddy start to my day this morning and it is only Tuesday and I am in PH1!!

To bore you with the details, I am currently in a living situation with a roommate that is becoming more unpleasant daily. Almost a year ago, I offered to share an apt with the brother of a friend (I have known both for 10 years) who was moving to the city and was making peanuts. By sharing, he would be able to live more economically with someone who would not be judgemental (he is gay). The situation has just become worse and worse because he is so moody--and frankly rather inconsiderate. I am counting down the days until this lease is up (end of July) and am even considering moving out even a month sooner for peace of mind regardless of the expense. Thank goodness for my oversized, adorable mutt who can make me smile despite all the tension! Canines are wonderful.

Jenn--I don't know you but just wanted to say Congratulations!! That's awesome news especially on this dreary day!

Thanks Metro (like the name change!!!)

As far as the roomie, can you sit down and talk to him about it? He can't change if his issues aren't brought to his attention.

Being gay myself, I know how moodiness goes -- before I was out that is. And his moodiness can have nothing to do with being gay at all. He can just be a (*&*^^%

I only wish it were that his moodiness had to do with being gay! That I can deal with--I have had plenty of prior experience with gay roommate moodiness  I think he may just be a tad too selfish and has had too many people helping him out--I am the first non-family member he has ever lived with. The reason I offered to live with him in the first place was because I was outraged by some of the things prospective roomies asked/said to him when he was looking for a place originally (and living free in my old apt  )! I told him he would be better off with someone who would not have a problem with his lifestyle and I was shocked New Yorkers were giving him crap! I am from the South and I certainly didn't expect that kind of reaction from people in the NE...Oh well, no use in getting stuck on it--I have learned my lesson--which is LIVE ALONE (with the exception of the mutt) :p

So, thanks for letting me vent. That felt good :twirly:

Oh yeah--I forgot. I have talked to him about it. He is just rather unreasonable--has a little trouble accepting responsibility (goes back to the selfishness and not enough experience at dealing with life without his family saving his butt).

Ruth--Thanks for the help...now I am just hoping my profile pic (my baby Max) is uploaded! I am getting the hang of the website, now just need to focus on PH1...What's for dinner tonight? :hungry:

Whew! I called the 800 number on the back of the pudding can - I kept waiting on Sylvester Stallone to answer  - anyhow it is not used as a sweetner it is used as a carrier - and is equal to less than 1/10 of 1 gram of dextrose. A tablespoon of dextrose has 4 grams of sugar. Anyhow it is sweetened with Splenda.

I was freaking for a minute there.
