Default Feb 28-March 1 (Mon Tues)

Morning girls!

I had an OK weekend. I had my bday dinner at my house and there were 14 people there (for my bro-in-law's bday as well) and my sister was criticizing my stuff, my house, my lack of decorating, again, and I snapped at her. Well, she was pissed off, and wouldn't let it go. so we had a big fight. SIGH. I was so tired and annoyed adn I was sick of her criticizing my house and my weight, and my sister's baby too. That is so annoying.

Anyway, BBL to post.

OH Dr. Lori - a week later, my bp was super low - it was 118/70. so they just said it wasn't a big deal that it was fluctuating....what do you think??

Morning all,

I had a not so nice weekend either. I had trouble sleeping all weekend. Then yesterday I ran out to check my BP (which was the lowest its been all week 136/88 except my pulse was 93bpm!). Anyway when I got back in the car it refused to start My DH had to get a ride and he got a tow truck etc etc. All afternoon then we were not in good moods. Our car is 15 years old and it seems like this last year we've sunk too much money into it but we just can't afford a different vehicle. In fact we can't afford to pay for this repair. DH started this whole thing about hos we maybe we should get 2nd jobs too help pay down our debt. I really don't want a 2nd job. I already work a 42 hour week unless I'm not busy at work. I am tired all the time. I know that its the extra weight and I'm working on it. I think by adding more stress it would be impossible to lose the weight. However I feel really guilty b/c my income is not guarranteed. It depends on other people. If I have clients I make money but if I don't I don't make money. You just never know what you've got coming in. Its very frustrating. I feel like he thinks that its my fault our money is unstable. I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else except maybe being a Mom. I don't want my DH to get a second job either b/c he already works 40 hours a week plus attends 6 hours of classes and then homework. He is tired and we don't see each other enough already. I don't know what we're going to do. The mechanic phoned this morning and said the problem is the alternator (which we replaced two years ago) and that it is going to cost almost $500. Very frustrating. I guess we're going to have to ask my in-laws for a loan. Makes me feel ill.

One good thing about this weekend: We did not eat out even once. That is major for us. Some weekends we eat out every meal. It is so much easier to eat healthy when you eat at home. Another good thing is that when we were so stressed yesterday I did not turn to food for comfort. I thought about it but then told myself I was being stupid and that would just hurt me in the long run.

Belle, sorry your b-day supper sucked. My bro & I had a big fight at my b-day supper this year too. Sometimes siblings suck. Good for you for standing up to her. Is she jealous of you or something? Why else pick apart everything. Hope that you have a better day today!

Belle2000- I completely understand about the sister thing, mine was like that forever about my weight until she got pregnant and now she is a new person...strange what babies do to people. Now I am just criticized about my weight, house, well pretty much everything by my mother. If it is not one thing, it is something else. I used snap all the time to my mom and sister and my husband says I should be still doing that. But then I talked to my grandma about it, and she made me realize that my sister and mother are so unhappy with theirselves that they can't stand to see anyone else happy. Maybe that will apply to you. It helps me because I know i am on the right track and trying to have a good life and they are just not every happy. So now I let it roll of my back and say such is life and then pray to God that they leave early.
RhubarbJelly- I am sorry about your cars but you have to know that being a mom and working 42 hours a week is a heck of a lot, I mean come on, give your self some credit. AND YOU ARE LOSING WEIGHT..WOOHOO! You carry a huge load. Our cars are the same way but we don't want to have car payments so we are suffering as well, just have to keep going on with life. My husband and I are both in school but my husband works too. We are so tired of living off loans..but we are just hoping for those better days when we have real jobs. It always works out!! That is what I keep telling myself

Anyway, just my two cents...I just know I can sympathize

Default Hey Girls!

Boy, does night shift suck... I started on nights on Saturday, had last night off, and am back tonight (it's still Monday night here). I did really well with the eating on Saturday night, but smoked a lot. Eating yesterday and today wasn't good. I think the problem was that I had a day off and I just don't have any structure when I work nights. I woke up this afternoon not feeling well, so I went to the Dr. and he said I have ANOTHER sinus infection. This is #3 since the first of the year. I'm kind of considering seeing a specialist about this. I'm just glad that I caught this before it got too bad. It just sucks working long nights because I'm extra stuffy late at night.

Man, I thought I had more time to post. I gotta get over to the plant, but I'll try to make it back tomorrow night. See ya!

Hey gals,

Well I had another crappy night last night. My BP was up high again and my pulse was scarily high. I am phoning the dr. this am. I had to phone and asak my grandma to lend me money. She was totally nice about it but I had a total breakdown on the phone. Then I had to phone my Mom to see if she could pick up the cheque and deposit it in my DH's old bank account (they are all back in my hometown). Unfortunately my unstable brother answered the phone and caused me to fall apart again. He seemed to think I was over reacting and of course he wanted something from me. That ticks me off. Anyway couldn't get it together for the whole phone call. My Mom ended up crying b/c she felt so bad for me. Nobody wants that. I had another terrible sleep. I feel really wiped today. Yehaw. At least we got our car back.

As for the whole second job thing we decided to see if I can work as a mystery shopper. Then I can do it on my own time not a real schedule. Of course with that there is no guarranteed income like my current job. You do get perks like if you shop a gas station the company pays for your gas, same with movies, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. That would save us some money too. Gas is killing us especially with me working out of the city two days a week. Of course our current car is a beast on gas. Anyway this would be the least stressful job I can think of and not interfere with my current job. I did some online applications last night so hopefully we'll hear something soon. DH thinks that he is going to talk to our old boss that owns a gas station and see if he could work a couple shifts a week from 3 to 11. I don't know if this is a good thing or not. He already works 6:30am to 2:30pm 5 days a week and he's usually asleep by 9:30 or 10pm. I don't think he could function very well but we need to do something so we can get a reliable car. Argh.

JK thanks for your words of encouragement. I had to laugh though b/c I'm not a Mom yet. Gotta get this weight down first & get DH through school.

Kier, hope your enjoying your new job!

Jess, hope your sinuses feel better. Do you put a cold pack on them? Helps with an acute infection. People always think steam helps but thats only with chronic sinusitis (after 3 weeks). Hope your handling your nights ok. I assume your sleeping right now so sweet dreams!

Hope everyone is having a great OP day. I am headed out for a walk. The weather here is beautiful! March didn't come in like a lion for us.

I don't know. The school is very far from our house and we only have one vehicle. He is only actually at the school 6 hours a week. The gas station is in the same mini-mall as his current job so he could just walk over. We'll have to see I guess.

So the owners of the house we put the offer on apparently liked our offer, but they didn't like the fact that we are getting financed 100%. They think that we are more "risky", like our loan won't get approved. Ummm...isn't that what pre-approvals are for? We don't have any money to put down. We are at least giving them 2k to take the house off the market until closing. This is VERY frustrating and is making me extremely anxious. I wrote them a letter and I am having my agent fax it to their agent, just telling them how we are young, just married, and stuff about us and how we would like to stay in that house for a long time and in the future raise our children there. Hopefully they will cave....hopefully!

Rina - I can totally understand this. I will be working overtime at my job (only 5 hours a week, so 45 hour weeks) and if that ever falls through will be working a 2nd job (10 hours a week since it will pay less) in order to afford this house. But I know it will be worth it.

Belle - Luckily I don't have siblings like this. Does your sister always do stuff like that?

Jess - I am SO happy I got my tonsils taken out. I was getting viral infections and they were staying around for WEEKS because my tonsils would keep getting infected. I'm not sure if something like that can go on with sinus infections, but I saw an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor. I don't think it can hurt to go see a specialist.

Phone is ringing, bbl

Rhubarb- My husband has a bachelors in Electrical Engineering and right now he is working on his masters in it. I am trying to get my bachelors in speech pathology right now. Unfortunately in order for both of us to get decent jobs we have to get our masters. So yeah we have student loans out the ying yang. OH well right. I want to be a mom really bad as well. But God willing..lol..that won't happen for a while because we definetly can't afford it right now. I think my dog has a urinary tract infection and I am waiting for the vet to call to tell me how much that doctor appt will be..blah. See I can't even afford to take care of my dog no less a child. That is really cool that your husband is taking classes, it really helps in the long run. When will he be done. I feel like we will be in school for eternity. Blah. Anyway, I need to go and make sure my dog is not peeing all over the house..hehe. Have a good day girls.
