Kelli,
I've never tried that book but I certainly do understand your dilemma. I recently signed up for Ediets and liked the fact that I could customize my foods to be either "convienent" or "recipe". However, my first shopping bill was $123 for ONE WEEK because I didn't have a lot of the foods suggested on my menu. Once I played around with the diet, I learned that I am able to customize or change meals, also allowing for substitutions (so now I can use all that "weird" food I bought more than once!) and a lot of the recipes that look complicated really only took about 15 minutes to prepare! I would suggest looking through the book to see what you can substitute in place of the foods you don't have or aren't used to. I think they design the menus for variety, but some of us just don't like or can't afford all of those different foods in one week! As far as 6 minimeals a day, I'm going to have to work on that myself. I'm a teacher and the thought of eating 6 times a day sounds ridiculous to me, but I know it is supposed to work. My plan is to just prepare a few things ahead of time and have them ready. Perhaps that would work for you too! Good luck and let us know how it works!
