:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Good morning ladies. I hope everyone had a great night. Andrew only woke up once so my night was great. Another day staying home, but I'll get more done today then I did yesterday. Got some laundry to tend to, need to sweep the kitchen and I'm sure I can find more.
This research I've been doing is on building a money making website. Me and my MIL are going to a seminar next Monday night to learn more about it. I've been researching and already know alot I think, but this company will be my webhoster and they help you every step of the way and tell you the secrets and such of making a successful website. I'm gonna have one focused on Moms, of course. I'll share it with y'all when it's done.
I talked to my sister and she has to buy groceries today which is a 4 hour task for her and afterwards she thinks she may start squatting, it brings on the contractions hard and strong and really helps you progress. If she starts that she's bound to have it by tomorrow or Saturday if not before. I'll keep you all informed.

Deana, hope you have fun at scouts.

Spryng, hope you had a good night.

Michelle, hope those miagraines go away.

Penny, how are you?

Mel, hope you got a good nights sleep.

Jill, how was class?

Hi Geri, hope it gets better each time you have to wake the kids. Have a good day at work.

Chris, hope Nicole is better.

Hi Jessica, Amy and Amy and all you other sahm's out there.

I'll check in later. I'm waiting on my welcome letter from my webhoster so I can get started. TTYL

Girlie I know how you feel! We are both so sore! But you know that means... we were both very out of Our bodies are letting us know. I am glad you are liking your new class! Did you tell that lady to slow down!!!!

Poor Nicole. Does she has a stomach virus now?? I am sending some GET WELL THOUGHTS her way :)

It sounds like you are PUMPED UP ;) Congrats on the water and exercise! I have found that since I have been exercising I have had sooo much more energy! It's great :) How is Sydney?

Have a great day

I wish I were a coffee drinker. I'm too tired. Nicole woke up at 5 this morning and has alot of pent up energy. There was no going back to sleep for this mom. I tried though. I thought I could get her to watch cartoons quietly while I closed my eyes a bit...that definitely wasn't her plan.

QOTD from yesterday: I were jeans, t-shirts and my nikes. I'm a no-frills kind of girl.

Well I did get one page done on my scrapbook yesterday. Finally! I'd been working on a page for Tiana's basketball experience earlier this year and have finally finished, except for the journaling. It's not how I really wanted it to be, but its okay.

Michelle-question for you....Did I just read that you're going to go to school too? Holy cow, girl ! When are you going to squeeze in time for sleep.

Guess I better get my buns outta here. It's my day to go to work. Yeah (a little fake enthusiasm..) I did make a lunch last night to take with me so I won't be tempted by fast-food today. That is my mini-goal for the fast-food. So far so good!

Hi all, mrs. sore

Penny, you are so right. We are out of shape, or at least I know I am. That's why I want to hire the PTrainer. It will force me to get in shape. I need that good swift kick. I'm doing OK on my own, but the trainer will make it even better.

Chris, I don't drink coffee either, so that is why it takes me forever to get moving in the morning.

Crystal, sounds like a cool idea the website, I mean. 4 hours of shopping that pregnant may bring on the contractions all on it's own. Being it's her 8th right, it should go fast anyway. Anyway, bugga was up at 1030, 1230, 300 and then at 630 for the day. I hope his ears aren't bothering him. He said one was itchy, so ya never know. I'll see what happens tongiht. He's been a little on the cranky side this morning. I looked in his ear with an otoscope, he does have a ton of the sticky wax. It's like honey in his ear. Sometimes the doctor has to use a devise and scrape it out. poor little guy. But if the doctor doesn't clean some out, not all, then he can't see the ear drum. He doesn't remove it all, cause it protects the ear of course. But he tends to get all gloppy in there and that may drive him crazy on it's own.

Anyway, dh is due home today. I am too sore to exercise for the first time in 2 weeks. I may try to do it later though, or at least get some in. Have a good day all. ttyl

10-07-2004, 11:17 AM
Good morning all!

Well, Tanner is back to his old schedule, lol... he was up at 8 am, but that is ok. But I am sooooo sore today too! My calves especially! Ouch! When I first got out of bed I couldn't even walk!! They are better now but still hurt. O-well, at least I know they got a good workout, lol.
Dinner tonight will be leftovers and nothing really on my agenda today. I'll vaccuum the living room sometime today and work on more laundry. That is it.

QOTD (from yesterday) I wear a variety of stuff. I love to get dressed, lol. My run around the house attire is jeans or shorts and cute shirts. And when I have to go to town I wear my more flattering jeans and favorite tops (I think we all have those "skinny" outfits we like to wear because it makes us look thinner, lol)

Chris, I would be dead too if my kids got up at 5 am. Maybe you can get a nap in sometime today! I think your mini goal is a great one! Have fun at work!

Penny, yeah that site makes it much easier to calculate your bf% then the other site too, not as many measurements. Sounds like your day yesterday was productive!

Crystal, that web site sounds interesting. Anything to bring in extra income is really nice, I hope it works out for you. So any more news on when you get to start building? ok, explain to me what this "squatting" is all about. I've never heard of it. I always took blue cohosh to help bring on labor, has she ever tried that?

MIchelle, I hope your migraine is gone! So what are you going back to school for? I hope to do that someday too. I worry about you though, taking on too much at one time, you are only one woman you know, lol. Ok I know I know, you are super woman!! ;) :p

Well what does everyone have planned for today and what is for dinner tonight?
Guess I better get off here. TTYL!

10-07-2004, 11:19 AM
Mel you snuck in on me! Tanner has ear wax like that too, he produces it like crazy but he's never had an ear infection so I guess his ears are used to it. So glad your dh will be home! Mine comes in this upcoming tuesday. And your muscles need a day to rest it sounds like, maybe you can just get in some stretching today.

10-07-2004, 11:55 AM
Good Morning Gals!!!

I crashed so hard last night. As soon as I hit the pillow it was off to La La Land. Today I am working on my poster board chart for scouts and getting everything ready for today. Should be interesting. I have 2 boys that are going to give me a run for my money but today is going to be letting them know what kinds of things we will be doing this year and what I expect from them. I get this sinking feeling that I'm going to have to have a few child-parent-leader conferences....uuuughhhhhh.

QOTD from yesterday: I usually wear sweat pants, shorts or stretchy slacks and either a t-shirt or blouse and sandals until sometime in November but my tennies to excercise (which I need a new pair of).

Dh called last night to tell me he was working Fri and Sat nights, which is fine because he took Sun off voluntarily. Fri is automatic 1 1/2 and Sat is double time so he really increased what he'll birng home next week. And then he proceeded to tell me I can go get the swing I want from Walmart. YEAH!!! I have wanted one all summer and they ran out by the time I had the money saved on my own to get it. Well wouldn't you know it, we were there last week and they had one outside and it was marked down on clearance, $32 cheaper. Then I didn't have the money anymore. So he said I can go ahead and transfer money from savings and put it back on payday. This swing is the one that lays down into a hammock and has a canopy over it.....then he has to lay a block section in the front yard for me to put it on....hehehe. I am soooo excited.

Spryng: I'm with you on the sore calves today, but I must push myself to go 2 miles again today.

Mel: Glad dh is coming home today. Will he be home for a while now? Take a day of rest girl, you deserve it. You have been pushing really hard lately. :bravo:

Chris: Have a good day at work. WTG ont he scrapbooking. I wish I had time for that but..........

Crystal: Hope the squatting helps your sis. Let us know when the baby gets here. Have a great day.

Penny: Feel that burn baby. Calories going bye bye :D . Wtg on the water, excercise and shredding yesterday. Have a great day.

To everyone else out there  Hope you are doing great OP and getting in the excercise. If you are MIA, let us know you are still out there somewhere.

Best get back to making my chart.

Hi Ladies...

I am pooped

I cleaned my frig.... NO I mean REALLY cleaned my fridge. I took out all the food, took off all the glass shelves, took them off the frames, took out all the bars in the door... HOW GROSS!!!!!!!

No body would be my friend again if you saw how horrible it

But now it is all nice and white and pretty ;)

Girl, I am just so proud of you. Glad hubby is coming back home! Send me a cute personal trainer over here too! ;)

I want some of those cute clothes... Heck, I wanna be skinny How are the kittens doing?

Let us know how the Scout Meeting goes tonight!

Ok Chris,,, I forgot.... Where the heck are you working? Hope you have a good day!

Well I am gonna get off here and get something done.

The last two days I have stayed off here and really got some stuff done around here...

My hubby says ALL YOU DO IS CLEAN!!!!!

10-07-2004, 02:03 PM
Penny, maybe the PT is cute to some guy, but she's just an average girl to

QOTD: I wear jeans and a shirt. Nothing great ! Just simple. SNEAKERS. On my feet so much I can't wear much but my sneakers.

10-07-2004, 02:03 PM
I had to go into the office to train the person that will be working the days that I am not. 9-12, I feel as if I worked a whole day. JW is sleeping and I would love a nap but so much to do.

Angel - I know who you are talking about on the travel channel. I think that would be an awesome job, but being away from your family all the time wouldn't be much fun.

Does anyone watch WifeSwap? The couple on there live in Charleston and the guys brother goes to church with us.

Geri - 530 UGh! You go with the workouts. I give myself the day off when I am working. I figure 5/7 is not too bad. I think I will try Yoga tonight.

Deanna - How many chicks are you raising? My mom did that as one of her hobbies one time, but it got to be too much work.

Penny - Way to go! I really need to clean mine. How often does flylady say to clean it?

Well, I bought yet another Diet Book, Dr. Ann's 10 steps to weight loss. She did make an interesting note the diet drinks make us more hungry bc of the sugary substitute. I had never heard that one. I will have to get the 10 steps for everyone. Pretty much like all the rest of the diet books I have on my shelf.

Have a Happy Thursday!

10-07-2004, 02:34 PM
Hi all. Checking in while I'm waiting for Andrew to wake up from his nap so I can make some lunch. He took an early nap which means I won't get one, but that's okay. Been having trouble napping ever since I started sleeping alittle better.

Yesterday's QOTD: I hardly ever dress up even to go to town. I always look so sloppy. I wear big shirts and shorts and go barefoot almost all the time. I try to make my hair acceptable. I have that perfect look for the housewife attire, lol.

Spryng, I can't believe you never heard of squatting since you used a midwife. When you start to have a contraction, if you squat, holding onto something for balance, keep your back straight you can feel the contraction actually get harder and it does hurt worse, but what it's doing is allowing gravity to do it's job, it's helping you dialate and open up and helps to push the baby down. It really does hurt, but can help ALOT. Sis went grocery shopping and didn't have one single contraction, go figure.

Well, guess what...we close on our house loan next Tuesday. I mean, for real, next week we close and get to start. It's really happening. I don't know what to say. Anyways, I've got some work to do on this website stuff, I'll talk to ya later.

10-07-2004, 02:39 PM
QOTD: Basic fitted t-shirt, I still do the fitted even though I am bigger bc I feel the big ones make me look frumpy. Navy, khaki, etc shorts or pants and Dansko sandals and clogs. Pretty boring but I do have all the colors in shirts, slacks, and shoes. I do get dressed for work though.

Spryng - When I am done to your size, I am going to have a heyday in my closet and get dressed up everyday. It is so much more fun to dress when you are thin. You go girl!

10-07-2004, 03:55 PM
Hello again!
I just got done with my lunch. I have found that if I try to eat when the kids do Tanner will think my plate is more appetizing than his own and he's constantly in it, lol. So today I waited until they all went down for a nap to make my lunch and boy was I starving! I had a leftover cube steak with a slice of ff swiss melted on it, some ff cottage cheese, and I tried a new thing with some couscous. I cooked it in 1/2 chicken broth and 1/2 tomato soup! And boy was it tasty!!! So that was my lunch. I couldn't finish it all because it was all very filling (and I put it on a child's plate) so that is good.
I got another square of my blanket done, 8 down so many more to go, lol. I'm so tired of this pattern already, lol. But it will be sooo cute when I get it done.

Melinda, I was dressing up before I lost weight, lol. And you are doing the right thing by wearing more fitted shirts now because buying a size or two larger than what you are to "hide" your flaws actually make you look bigger and isn't hiding anything but drawing attention to it, so good for you! My MIL (who is 360 lbs) wears a size 3X shirt but she will buy a 4-5X thinking it will make her look smaller because it will hide more, which it does the opposite. So what kind of diet is that book?? Low fat or low carb? Are you going to try it?

Crystal, let me tell you , I feel like I was ripped off with my midwife. Now don't get me wrong, she was wonderful and very caring but she wasn't the type of midwife I wanted. I wanted one that endorsed natural childbirth and encouraged you to go on your own, instead mine was ready to induce me even before I hit my due date. I also feel like since I was already having minor contractions the day I went in to be induced that just breaking my water should have been enough to get me going on my own instead she hooked me up to that dreaded IV and pitocin. So I don't regret Tanner's birth at all but next time (if there is a next time) I will use a different midwife. So no, I hadn't hear about squatting. But let me know when she does it and how it goes! Does she try the herbs too? So excited about your closing date!!! When will the building begin?? Is coming into winter going to cause problems with building your house?? Let's call up that group of people that built that 3 story home on extreme makeover home edition in 6 days to come build your house so that you can move in before the baby arrives ok?! lol.

Penny, the kittens are doing great. Chicken is still very much a chicken and only comes out of hiding when the kids go to bed, she is fine around me but not them. And Sarah is so friendly and my dd is so in love with her. She just holds her constantly and sings to her and plays with her and when I see Sarah squirming like she needs to go to the bathroom I'll tell Ava and she will carry her to the litter box and encourage her to go, lol... I think it's been great for my dd. Great job on cleaning your fridge! Have you been keeping up with zones on flylady? I haven't done her correctly in weeks now, I need to start that up again. My house isn't falling apart but I did enjoy the routine of it all.

Deana, that swing sounds nice! So glad you get to go get it! Now just hope it is still there, lol. We waited a week to buy a new grill once and when we got there they were all gone and since the season was over they wouldn't have anymore until the following year. So get over there ASAP! lol.

Ok, I think I will check the core boards really quick and then grab a nap. TTYL!

10-07-2004, 04:54 PM
Spryng, the midwife that I used was totally natural. They wouldn't EVER induce, if you went more than two weeks they would reccommend you going into the hospital but otherwise, they believe the baby will come when the baby is ready. I was 4 days late with both Alisa and Ally and 4 days early. I don't agree with being induced unless medical reasons suggest you should be and I believe as natural as you can go is the best for you and the baby.
If we close Tuesday afternoon, then dh will probably use the rest of next week to get a good plan in place and be ready to start ground work the following week. Or he may come up with his plan this weekend and be ready the day after we close. He is going to try and get the entire shell put up before hard winter hits, that way the rest of the work will be inside and the weather shouldn't effect it. It really will depend on the help he has and right now he's just got a few hands to help out at times. But as long as I can see the work going on, I'll be happy. We're building right in front of the house we're in now. So he can work as early and as late as he wants and I can watch every step and every phase. I'll try to take pictures every so often and post them to keep you all as up to it as I am.

10-07-2004, 06:26 PM
Afternoon Ladies..

I gotta run and bring the boys to karate but I wanted to check in real quick.

Your lunch sounds yummy! I do the same thing eating on the kids plates. I learned that trick and have used it for a long time. Works like a charm.... well

Oooopppsss... Ok You can keep the woman and send me a How are you feeling this afternoon?

How exciting that you are getting close to the house! Great :)

Hope you enjoy your new book! I wear fitted shirts also. The stretch fitted ones... They are sooo comfy :) I just gotta suck in that roll!

Pretty slow today but I caught up easy :)

Have a great evening :)

10-07-2004, 06:56 PM
Yay I am finally here!! Well I got my paper done a lot faster than I thought I would. I hope that is a good sign and not a sign that I didn't do the paper right! LOL Anyway I have been trying to figure out my school schedule for the next 2 terms so that I can graduate in Spring and get into the Masters program. It wasn't looking good for a second and then my advisor and I figured something out so it looks like I will be able to do it! I am so excited but stressed since I will have to take 16 credits these next 2 terms and that is usually really stressful, however I know I can do it and WILL do it. I just probably won't be on here as much! So I am feeling good for the time being, about school anyways. My diet is another thing. I haven't been THAT bad but I haven't been that good either. I have been getting in my water but eating too many things I am not supposed to have. Luckily the candy is gone now so I don't have to worry about that. WI is tomorrow and I am anticipating a gain but no prob, I can get it off next week for sure. I just need to be a little more prepared as far as food and snacks go. Well I really hate to not get personal but I only have an hour or so until I need to get going to school. I will try to catch up tomorrow. Need to go pick up this messy house!! Oh and Spryng I have been off on my flylady stuff too! I need to get back on it, it makes me so much more organized! Ok TTYL

10-07-2004, 07:06 PM
Spryng, I have the same problem with Abigail wanting my food all the time. It drives me batty sometimes, because when I give myself the correct portion and only plan on eating that and then she takes some. Ughhhh. I know I'm on a diet, but I have to eat

Crystal, I'm so happy for you that the closing is on tuesday. I bet you are thrilled! How long do you think it'l take build?

Meltin, nice to hear from you.

Penny, have fun at karate. Why don't you take a Karate class for your exercise. I know you love it!

Anyway, dh called and the plane has landed and he's in his truck driving home. gtg.. talk to ya all later.

10-07-2004, 07:12 PM
Hello again!

Just a quick post from me, the kids are watching the pebble and the penguin so I thought I'd post real quick and then do some housework until 7. I haven't had dinner yet (the kids have) I'm just not hungry yet. My cousin's baby shower has been moved to nov 8 so I'm going to work really hard to try and get the blanket done it time so I've been crocheting most of the day today. My poor fingers, lol... they are aching.

Jill, We will totally understand if you have to cut back with us for awhile while you finish up school, it will be worth it to you and your family in the long run but we'll miss you!! Be careful on all that snacking! All the holidays are right around the corner so we all need to be careful this time of year. :)

Penny, I love those stretch shirts and jeans too... they really flatter the figure, no matter what kind of figure we have, lol, and I think you look great! I was looking at your stats and you've already come such a long way and you will be in the 150's very soon and moving on down, you are doing a great job! Just think, by the end of winter, early spring you can be at goal and buying all kinds of new stuff! Next summer you will be so hot!

Crystal, my midwife wanted to induce because she thought Tanner was going to be huge and didn't want me to have a horrible experiance because of his size. Well, turns out he was exactly 7 lbs so she was wrong, but that is ok, I mean the birth was fine, I just wanted for once to go into labor on my own, you know? The other two I went into labor on my own but my doc always wanted to speed it up with pitocin and with Tanner I just wanted to let my body do it and not an IV... o-well... they all came out healthy and that is what is important. Does your new doc respect your feelings on natural childbirth? I hope your house gets built fast! Wish I could come down there and help!! :)

Ok, I'm off here until bedtime so I'll chat with you all later! :)

10-07-2004, 07:14 PM
Mel, enjoy your hubby tonight!! And I really hated that on flexpoints, lol... to divvy out your portion of food, knowing exactly how many pts it is and then kids attack and eat part of it and your left with not knowing the pts afterall, lol. I guess that is one plus of core, lol.

Ok, leaving now, lol... TTYL!

10-07-2004, 08:11 PM
Spryng, so far my doc has been fine with all my feelings. I've shared with him that I loved having them at home and why and I'm afraid it's going to be too different in a hospital and he has said probably not. So we'll see. I'm hoping 6 months at the most since it's getting into the winter season but we'll see. Dh has asked me to help as much as I can and obviously I said yes, but don't forget the situation I'm in. I'm going to do the painting and the things I can do. Alot of the ordering and such will be done by me. Okay gotta go clean the kitchen and cut the guys hair.

Mel, glad you get to see dh. Have fun.

Jill, glad you got done with your paper.

Everyone have a great evening.

10-07-2004, 08:18 PM
Hi all,

Well I got up at 5:30 ish and by 5:45 I started my 3 mi WATP...Tony woke up shortly thereafter. Ticked me off because tomorrow I'll probably have to wake him up! I put him on the couch with a sippy of milk and finished my workout. Drank 60 oz of water so far so 80-100 will be easy for today. Had subway for lunch today...tomorrow I'm meeting a friend at Applebee's so I'll either have a salad or one of the WW items.

QOTD..used to be sweats and t-shirts or sweatshirts but now it's jeans. If I go out then it's a nicer shirt otherwise still a t-shirt. Work is business casual so kakhi's and a nice shirt/blouse/sweater.

Melinda..I'm working 3 days so I want to get my exercise in at least one of those days. I'm so pooped at night (like right now) that I don't want to even think about it. Hopefully once I get used to working again it'll get easier. I thought of you during wife you have a confederate flag on your house too? OMG the other one was a complete freak! Bawling because her dogs were outside...I mean, really! :dizzy:

Penny...I'd still love fridge needs a complete cleaning also. I have been spot cleaning but it really needs the whole empty out whatcha doin tomorrow?

Mel...wtg on the exercise. You can get some with hubby tonight :o :D . Glad he's back home.

Spryng...I can feed my kids dinner and then make my own and they're both right there begging from me! Amazing!

Deana... you busy lady you! Hope you get some rest today.

Jill...I feel missing from here lately too :^: . Just stay in touch as much as you can even if it means not addressing everyone personally.

Michelle...hi ya! I envy you that you are the type of person for all that volunteer work. I would just sit there and cry :( but sometimes that's what people need too because their family members are always trying to be up and peppy for the sick one. Sometimes they just need someone to cry with.

Crystal..hope all that pounding doesn't drive you nuts! :dizzy: Congrats on being able to start the house.

Chris..don't you love it when the kids are up early??? Not when they're supposed to be of course.

Well, I don't know if I'll make it back tonight or's Survivor and ER and I need to go to bed. Love ya!!

Three times in one day, I hope to continue.

Tonight is date night for TV, we are watching the Clemson/Va and then the Apprentice and ER.

Spryng - The book is pretty much like every other one out there. I told myself that I would not buy anymore but you see what happens. I should just use the library.

Geri - Is it still nice enough to bike with the boys there? It is getting cooler but very nice to ride. No Conferdate flag for us. Just the American. Those people live out in the country. In the same place that Candy was moving. Remember her.

Mel - Enjoy your dh. Dh was out of town last weekend with the boys and I still feel like we have not had enough us time. I guess I need to be off of here.

Jill - School will be so worth it when you are finished. I packed on the pounds in grad school. I was working full time and had classes 4 hours for 3 evenings. I was exhausted and always ate on the run. Then I seemed to be able to lose it for my wedding and here I am now after the baby. You will do great you have a incredible drive.

Penny - You are a busy momma too. Are you in classes too?

Crystal - It will be so fun to build your own house and pick out the colors. I moved into dh when we got married and while he has great taste. I still don't feel like we picked the house out together.

Well, on to my date night!

Workouts 3/5! What is the water challenge?

Deana-I just have to tell you that all this talk about the baby chicks got to me. I dreamt about baby chicks all night long. Kind of strange.

Spryng, Michelle, Jill, Crystal, Geri, Amy #1, and Amy #2, Jessica and all you other gals out there...I will check with you all later. But for now I have to kick back and do the Thursday night tv thing.

Howdy gals :coffee: I finally have a chance to post.
I went and checked out the Ladies workout express and I think I'll like it.They do circut training. It looks fun,I have to talk to dh more about it.He still is thinking about joining the ymca.I would like to join that to.It would be funner for me because the kids and dh could go but he can't make up his mind.Anyhow,LWE it's only 30 bucks a month and I'll get the registration fee free that's 100 dollars and I won't have to start paying till January.I'll let ya'll know if I get to do it.I need something because I just can't seem to keep myself motivated.
Well I finally got the kids bathroom done.It turned out really cute.Fish everywhere. Now i've started getting ready for halloween I just have a few decorations for that though. Not really into halloween much.I think me and my SIL are just going to have a halloween party and tell scary stories or something like that.It easier and I think the kids will like it better. Were going to play games and eat of coarse maybe make some kind of gross looking meal that will taste really good.
I hope everyone had a good day.Me and my 5 year old went shopping. We had to get a bunch of stuff for the school.Sometimes I think homeschooling is cheaper than public school. The school needs money or something EVERYDAY .I don't mind helping its just whatever I do I have to times it by 4 and it gets exspensive sometimes.Anyway after shopping and checking out LWE I came home and got the bathroom done and kids things done now i'm tired as usual.I hope I get over this tired spell.I don't know if i'm overworked or underworked I've tried resting and i've tried making myself do things to get energy and nothing seems to work.I'll figure it out,I always do.

QOTD: I wear whatevers clean lol.Just kidding,I wear what I feel.EX if i'm having a skinny day i dress up alittle and if i'm having a fat day i wear sweats and big shirts with my hair in a ponytail.just depends on how I feel that day.
i'm weriod like that i guess.

well everyone have a good night i'll post again tomorrow and try and get personal.nighty night.

Good evening ladies.

Thought I would get here earlier but it's been crazy here all day. Worked on finishing up stuff for scouts this morning, then had to go to town to get a couple things. Picked up scouts at school and had our meeting. The meeting say the least, interesting. I have a couple that are testing me. One jsut won't be quiet, no matter what I say to him. He ws being so disruptive I had to sit him in a corner twice and then finally out in the hall where I could see him. That still didn't do much good. When his dad came to pick him up I pulled him out in the hall and asked him to talk to his son about his behavior, because I can't teach the other boys if he is being such a distraction. He talked to him and he promised that he would be good next week, but we'll see. The other boys say he's that way at school too. I even told his dad that I will give him 3 chances but after that I'll have to ask that he not come back. I hate to be that way but I have 6 other boys to think about and I really want them to get the most out of it. Then the other one, I have talked to his mom and he is on meds for ADHD, and I asked her if she had noticed signs of Tourette's Syndrome. I have and know them because I have a nephew with it. Facial ticks, verbal outbursts of innapropriate things, lack of attention span. She said she is going to talk to his doctor because she had noticed the facial ticks and wants to talk to the doctor about it with him out of the room so he won't try to control it. Other than that, the rest were just fine. Had to get onto mine a couple times but that was that he was trying to get the first one to leave him alone and be quiet so they could hear me. We'll see how it goes next week. I have alot of patience but I think that first one is a real problem child. He was even talking bad on the way to the meeting. I wanted so bad to wash his mouth....but I know I can't do anything about it, jsut talk to the dad. There is no mom in the picture. And dad is a real loser. Just got out of jail recently and is still in drug rehab. His parents were raising the 2 kids while he was gone and they are both in bad health. Grandpa had a heart attack last year and Grandma is terminal with cancer. Sorry for the book. I just needed to vent some. I guess I just don't understand people who raise their kids like that.

Crystal: Too, Too Cool about the house. Can't wait to see pics.

Spryng: Hope you are enjoying your evening.

Melinda: I have 5 hens and 1 rooster and just hatched 17 chicks and now another 40 in the incubator. I go the eggs from a friend and we are going to split the chicks. I had 38 last year but winter got a few and a dog got some. I want to get back up to about 40 next spring. I love the brown eggs. They taste soooo much better.

Penny: Are you in Karate with the boys. Maybe you could join them or do the same thing in the back of the dojo. The boys would love it if mom was doing it with them.

Mel: Glad dh is home. Hope you got to rest those sore muscles today. When I started dieting I told my kids that my food is my food. Dd even told me tonight that I have to eat diet food and she can eat fattening food.... . They know it's the only way I can get skinny. Then there's the matter of them asking me why I want to.... :?:

Chris: Hope you had a good day at work. Sorry about the chick dreams. Should I start talking about hunks instead?

Geri: WTG on the excercise this morning. I never got a chance to do mine. As soon as I thought I had time, dd needed something and next thing I knew it was time to leave for scouts. By the time I got home I had to feed dh so he could leave for work, then feed me and kids and next thing it was 8:00. That's too late for me or I won't want to go to bed til 1 a.m. BTW....what is rest with 4 kids and 3 of them in scouts and 1 in preschool?

I'm sure I missed several ladies. But it's getting close to kids' bedtime and I am zonked again tonight.

I will be here in the morning. Dd has preschool but nothing else planned except cleaning out my fridge....thanks Penny....I needed that subtle shove.... ;) .
