Hi all!

Are beans ok on Phase 1? (Like kidney beans, chili beans, etc)??

Im asking because I LOVE chili this time of year and was hoping I could eat it while on Phase 1?

As long as there is no sugar added to the canned beans then they are great for phase 1. You can even use vegetarian fat free refried black beans in phase 1.

Here is a link to the Phase 1 food list. In our recipe section, there are a couple recipes for chili. Barb is right about canned beans, sometimes they add sugar, especially kidney beans.
