I just wanted to start off by saying how wonderful it is to have found 3FC. I just signed up and I'm not quite sure on how to go about all this. From what I have read, everyone is so positive and motivating and that is hard to find in other message boards. You are all such beautiful ladies!!

I guess I should say a little something about myself. I am 24 years old and I live in Oak Ridge, TN (right outside of Knoxville). I am a divorcee', but I am currently in a relationship with a wonderful guy! (Hi Larz!! ) I have always been a "big girl" but when I got married and moved out in 1999, I really packed on the pounds. I went from weighing around 150 to jumping up to 215 within the course of a year. I divorced last year and packed on another 30 pounds (So easy to put it on...yet so hard to take it off) Anyway, I am not a lazy person, but for some reason it takes quite a bit of motivation for me to exercise. I live in a one bedroom apartment right now, so purchasing a treadmill or the like would be out of the question. I am looking for buddies to check in with on a daily basis and possibly, if anyone lives close by...to exercise with (walks mostly). I can't wait to get started!!

To tell you about myself I am a 20 year old full time student/full time worker. I live in Oregon so I am no where near you but I am excited about being your buddy and we can keep eachother motivated.

This is a great site and I try to check in everyday just give myself that weight loss thought started first thing in the morning.

I am new to this board but not to 3FC, which is a wonderful way to meet people for support, advice and friendship. I am 23, 5"3 and 151 lbs. I am petite and so weighing about 125 would be ideal for me. I was once there about 4 months ago, but since I graduated from college and started working the weight crept on! Just like freshman year in college! I am determined to get to 125 by Dec 23rd though! And I know that I can do it, especially with support. I have started following a low al diet (about 1500) plus aerobic exercise and weight training. I really hope I get there. And I wish everyone here the best too! Hope to stay in touch with you guys!

Thank you everyone! I bought some tennis shoes for walking yesterday, so I think I will take a stroll around the block....I just hope I don't catch a wiff of the restaurant next door.

I'll be your buddy too Ashren! Last night I got a wild hair and briskly walked 2.6miles in my neighborhood. If I cut back on the sweets and fats, and walk that 3xs a week, maybe I'll start to see progress!
