I have just tried this and would like to know (especially from anyone in the Cincinnati area) where it can be purchased. I found my bag at Jungle Jims and it was $2.49, a little pricey but I wanted to try it. Now I love it because you get so much for only 2 points!!
They are really pretty good! Im not a cheetos fan. (Go figure I LOVE cheese) But these are much milder and I really do like them. A nice break from the Veggie Booty. I am one of the rare ones that actually like the Veggie one! I am lucky as I can find Pirate Booty at my Dominick's grocery store but I have bought them at Trader's too.
I'm going to see if I can find this stuff in my area. We don't have Trader Joe's, but maybe Whole Foods? Anyone in the Dallas area or TX heard of this??
Just liz - I did end up finding the site. It is www.robgormet.com. They sell the Pirate's Booty and the price is $25.00 for 12 bags. That's about $2.09 plus shipping (which I didn't even check into) A little too high right now. I keep searching locally!!
If anyone in the Cincinnati area knows, please let me know too!!
Aggie - Its 2pts per serving. A whole big bag is just 8pts. Not too bad - and they are really tasty puffy cheese doodle type snacks. I love them!!
I pay just 1.79 per bag - so the 2.09 a bag doesn't sound too bad for the case - since you have to pay shipping. I don't want to buy a case though - that is too much temptation!!
I like it for a salty snack that isn't high in points.
If I remember correctly, the price includes UPS shipping. It came to me w/in a week in CT the 2 times that I ordered it. I always buy the individual "snack size" bags from the web-site, but it's been a while since I ordered any.
Thanks for the info Jane. Do you remember how many points the individual bags are? I did go to the website and purchase them and it does include shipping. I also called their customer service office and found out where I can purchase it locally. I did that AFTER I ordered online but will still check out the stores for future reference.
Individual bags are 3 points. The NI makes it look like 2, but there's actually 1.25 servings in there, which is enough to push it over the line to 3 points.
