I'll try to find something to amuse you, Little Chick.
I've got my coffee, and I am feeling GREAT! My sweet Dad was finally hospitalized last night, and they're keeping him in until they "fix him". Yaaaaahooooooo!!
Plans for today? A visit to see Dad, and some exercise. I haven't done any ALL WEEK, and if I'm ever going to make Queen :queen: in Little Chick's exercise thread, I'd better get off my fat butt! :D
Have a great day girls... back later! :grouphug:

OH Ellis I am so happy to hear about your dad. That is great news. As you can tell I found the thread after I PMed you. Sorry I guess I was having a blonde moment. :D I have thought of a :hot: :hot: topic MEN who do you think is the hottest man........
I of course think that it is my dh. But my dream guy would have to be Rod Stewart not really sure why but I think it has something to do with that dreamy accent.

Good morning, Little Chick and Ellis. It's not raining but certainly did overnight.
Little Chick, topic for discussion? Well, we are putting up a Gazebo in one of our wee parks and are going to have an "erection" party on the 12th. Any suggestions re BBQ menu for the workers, aside from hotdogs? :lol3:
Ellis, I was so pleased to read that your dear Dad is now in hospital where he belongs. That whole scenario was absolutely disgusting. By the way, Dr Bob is dr Robert Dent, just in case you run into him. He is at all the Ottawa Hospitals.
I finally got those barrels filled with earth and postioned in the village last evening. The guys were on time and worked fast - there was a hockey game last night! I may plant the frassing things today and get it over with! I persuaded the Village Market and the LCBO to put out flowers too and have theirs ready to plant as well. The Village should look much better this summer.
Harry is up and about so I'd better do blood testing and pop his meds into him. I am considering getting a white nurse's uniform and cap - or do they wear those things anymore?
Have a super Tuesday and first day of a new month! :grouphug:

good morning everyone,
not supposed to be a bad day here weather wise, possible storms later this evening but the sun is shining now and it is a very nice morning. lots going on for me today dd has her 8th grade graduation mass and dinner this afternoon so hopefully i can slip out of work early to get home in time to help her get ready. i'm sure there will be a lot of tears later this is my oldest and so first 8th grade graduation and they make a really big deal out of it at their school so i'll be sure to take lots of tissues.
my camping weekend was great very relaxing long weekend. i didn't stick strictly op (see weekend cheat thread) but the scale was kind this morning so i am not discouraged and i am totally back op today.
ellis so glad your dad is in the hospital (well that didn't come out right) anyway hope he gets feeling better very soon i'm keeping your family in my prayers.

ellis so glad your dad is in the hospital (well that didn't come out right)
:lol3: I know exactly what you mean, Jodi. Thank you for your prayers. :)
And I'm glad your camping weekend was good!!
Ruth, there's a good book I found in the library. It's a spoof on Martha Stewart. I can't remember the title, but there's a Martha look-alike on the cover, and she's walking on water.
Anyhow, there are some interesting recipes inside with pictures... An erect weiner coyly placed with a meatball on either side...
Rod Stewart!! Well, Little Chick, you'd better pick up a copy of Star Weekly. There's a pic of him in a kilt, and he's raised it to reveal his filled underpants. Doesn't do much for me (actually, I was eating at the time, and the photo made me gag), but whatever's good for you... :lol3:
Hot men... I'll have to think on it.
All that comes to mind right now is Colin Firth...

Rod Stewart wears underpants? Under a kilt? That is NOT regimental dress! My illusions have been shattered.
(How filled were his underpants? I assume you don't mean he'd pooped his drawers?)

Good morning. Hopefully we'll have a sunny day on the beach around here. After all the storms we've had we need it. :rain: DD has her first ball game of the season this evening so I hope it stays nice. :crossed:
As far as hot men go...I have to think on this one. ;)

I am going to go buy that magazine tonight. My dream is for him to sing to me and I don't care if he wears a kilt or not. ;) He gives me shivers. As for little winers did any ever tell you it is not the size of the wand but the magic in it. Although if I remember corectly the guy who told me that was eating one of those little winers at the time.

I am back on plan today... I am doing phase2.. I am trying to work on my mind-food issues now, it's almost as fun as a tooth extraction, but I know I need to do it.
Ellis: I saw that pic of Rod Stewart and was more impressed by his leg muscles... He is seriously muscular... I dunno about him, not the hugest fan and the video 'Tonight's the Night' gave me the creeps.. Anyhoo, I am sorry your dad isn't well, but am glad he's receiving the care he needs.
Ruth: yes, Mister Stewart went against protocol and wore undies.
Little Chick: na, accents do nothing for me (well they have and I learned hehehehe).
My dream men: my boyfriend :D, Jon Stewart, Steve Buscemi (I CANNOT explain this, or the fact I have about five friends with the same fascination), George Clooney, Toby Keith to name a few:P
Cheers!

Ali, I couldn't get over his legs!! I've never been the least bit attracted to Rod, but wow... those legs!!! (and I'm so embarrassed that I buy that magazine. I feel dirty, but it's such eye candy. )

Good morning ladies.
So today is my first day starting Phase 1 again......It's 9 here, and I've already had breakfast and my first snack. This cannot be any good. Of course it's also my TOM. What in the world was I thinking?
Ellis - good news for you.
I can't believe there are 16 posts already!?

Morning, All! :sunny:
Ellis, I am THRILLED for you and for your dad that he is getting the care he needs! You tell him to stay in that hospital until he is feeling much better. Then he should come out and you should both have bridge mix to celebrate! :D Seriously, I am very glad that he is getting good care. He deserves no less! They can manage his pain so much better in hospital and take care of his feeding, too. I will be praying hard for him! :grouphug:
Nice weather here after a very dreary day yesterday. Of course, I chuckled all day because I had to work! Very mean, I know, but us working stiffs have to have some fun, right?
And speaking of stiff...:lol3: Little Chick, I am amazed at you...and at Ruth. So crass! And so right up my alley! When we had a bachelorette party for my friend, we served penis pasta in a lovely alfredo sauce. I think that would be a perfect course for after the erection, don't you?
As for the kilt, check out the picture below. The guy is hardly handsome, but at least he is doing it right. ;) My all time favorite guy is my DH, but I also enjoy Eric Stolz (I'm a sucker for red hair) and Jon Stewart. I'm also fond of Harry Connick Jr. and Sting. Yummy! And I would *love* to have John Mayer sing to me!
Tomorrow is my class and I am much farther along on my assignments than I thought, but I still have a lot to do. I wasted time by hanging out with my neighbors last night. However, I am proud of myself for eating my morroccan stew with couscous (which was awesome...another Cooking Light recipe) instead of brats on fluffy white buns, baked beans and corn. I did have the end off of a brat with mustard, but otherwise totally refrained. Did make a PB cup when I got home, though. :) I had Cheerios for breakfast today and my box came with a Matchbox car! I have never gotten a prize in my cereal box before! Very happy day!

Laurie - Ok at first I thought the guy in the kilt was your DH. I had to reread your post a couple of times.
My favorite after DH, is Jon Favreau, he's been a bunch of small things including dinner for 5 on Sundance. I just absolutely love him.

Pebbles, love your sig...very inspiring! (our kitchen is still a shambles...one day we will finish it!)
Nope, my DH has never worn a kilt. He's only 33, and doesn't have a beard. ;) However, I would love to have him in a kilt...that would be amazing! *drool*

Laurie your DH is the same age as mine. He does have a goatee that at times gets a little wild.
My suggestion on the kitchen, just keep avoiding. We're still waiting to have the final trim work done, it's been a headache because we DIYed it.

Ali... I agree that Steve Buscemi is sexy in a weird psycho kind of way!
Laurie... LOL about John Mayer... because I am actually married to Jon Mayer.... but I wouldn't EVER want my Jon Mayer to sing to me!!! He sounds like a cow in heat... but I love him. :)
Well.... I'll be in my new house with my NICE BIG KITCHEN by the end of August. Finally! I have wedding gifts/ pots/ pans/ plates on the shelf in my laundry room. It will be so nice to have a place to put everything. I counted the Cabinets.... 15 plus a pantry!! I have 5 Cabinets right now!!! I'll be in heaven!!!!!!!!! But... can I wait 2.5 more months!??!?!?!? And will my cats ruin the cherry hardwood floors in hte living room? Those are risks I'll just have to take!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Oooh... did I mention the giant garden tub??? I'm going to have a waterbill of $500 a month from all the baths I take!!!!!

Hey jodi, I agree Ben is sooooo hot i have had a crush on him for years, he has that boy next door look, he just reminds me of some one you would run into on your home town not some sculptered manufactured movie star...lol.
As for my day today it is going ok, my son leaves tomarrow for his dads house for the summer so i wnt see him till end of august again. It is kinda bitter sweet. We have had a really ruff year he is going from little boy to pre-teen attitude and all so i kinda welcome the break but man thats too big of one...lol. I know i will start to miss him.
the weather is really shakey in the mid west we have tornados dropping here and there efery couple days. but it's almost over with and we will just get really hot and really really humid.
Oh yeah i wieghed in today and i ending week 2 of phase two and still loosing so I am happy today about that. I an going to try two carb and one fruit this week and see how that goes.
Morning!
Just got back from dropping my DD at preschool and going to the Municipal Court to take care of a speeding ticket. Ticks me off off to give these people my money, BUT it was my own fault. :(
Sexy men....... hmmm..... Hugh Jackman is pretty hot!
Nice long weekend with my family- stayed pretty much OP with the exception of some cold adult beverages at our cookout yesterday.
I need to get my butt in gear and do my exercising for today. Not in the mood for it, but know I will feel better!

Nette - no way on STEVE!!!! no way. That's totally freaky. I'm so excited for you to have a new kitchen. We're so funny we set everything on paper towels b/c we're so afraid of chipping the granite. 1000 year old stone, we're afraid to set a pot down to hard!
Kiko- I used to get really mad about tickets, but then I realized that if they counted every time I did speed......well certainly I'm ahead.

Wow...your house sounds totally amazing, Nette! And you're married to Jon Mayer...life is good! ;) Seriously, I wouldn't mind timesharing with you on that garden tub! I would love one, but no such luck right now. We're on the impovershed DIY plan. If I want to stay home with the kids (which I do!) we'll continue on that same plan for a long time! We live in a super old house with lots of character. (that translates to lots of work!) One day the kitchen will be finished. We've even decided to have a professional put down the lineoleum, but we have to make enough money to pay for it. For now it's all about the subfloor. Think I could start a new trend?
MelissaK, so sorry to hear about your son leaving for the summer. That must be difficult. :grouphug: My aunt always says that teenage attitude is God's way of ensuring that you are ready to let them go. Hopefully the summer will speed by and he'll be back with a greater appreciation for you! Hope you continue to stay safe with all those awful tornadoes. Darn things scare me to bits , but I have no problem with earthquakes! Go figure!
Pebbles, too funny about the granite! It does sound amazing! My DH moves anything on our kitchen island (we tiled it) on to a placemat. He's terrified we'll scratch it. Of course, most of it went through a wet saw and then had grout scraped over it, but that has no relevance to what a cardboard box could do, right? :lol3:

Laurie, Right now, the 3 cats are keeping us busy. The poor dears are locked in our master bedroom/ bathroom while the apartment guys do pest spraying today so I have to get home to let them out!!! It keeps the cats safe but the bugs are going to hide in the bedroom too!!!! Since we won't have pet restrictions, we are thinking of adopting another "baby" when we move.... before Mr. Bing and Earle kill each other. The older cat won't play with them and they wear each other out running/ wrestling all the time. I think a third youngin' would let one of them rest once and a while. Maybe one day I can have some real babies. :)
We actually aren't building the house but we found a modular for a great deal. It's two stories and looks just like a house. I'd love to have a big Victorian with a claw foot tub one day, but this Cape Cod has everything in the inside that I want-- cherry wood, big kitchen, big tub! Put a white picket fence in the front and whala! beautiful white house!
Gotta go audit some more! Lucky me!
