This happened yesterday an hour after I left work in the ER. We thought it was so cool, but had no idea it would make national news. Wanted to share it with you. We don't often get to see such great stories happen. Not sure how the outcome will be, hoping for the best. The nurse mentioned is my boss.

wow that was a great stiry you will have to keep us posted on this story, my heart goes out to his family. what an emotional roller coaster for the parents though, I bet they are all smile no matter what though to know that they have a sortta second chance with him.

What an amazing story!! My heart goes out to his parents and I pray for a good outcome. It also makes me wonder what story he will be able to tell, if he does come out of this (life after life???? ).

Worked in the ER yesterday and I can't believe the news media calling and trying to get ahold of my boss for interviews. Family isn't granting any and they are in a hospital 4 hours from here. The Today Show, Good morning America, and I actually talked to Geraldo Rivera's "people". I know people want a feel good story but I think this battle is far from over. So far no response from the little guy. I'll post what I hear.

RNMOM, thanks for sharing this story! I hope that the little guy pulls through. Sounds like he is quite the fighter and that God has a lot still planned for him! My DH's grandfather came to after being "dead" for over 45 minutes...10 minutes on own, thirty five minutes while emergency medical personnel worked on him. He had some trouble rememebering the order of his memories, but he knew who everyone was and had great brain function in spite of all that time with no oxygen to the brain. You just never know!
