Default Newbie with questions!

Hey ya'll. I just bought the book and plan on buying groceries tomorrow so I can start the diet the following day. I'm a little confused about the egg substitutes. I read in the book that real eggs are ok, so why do many of the recipes require egg substitutes? I've never purchased them before so I have no idea what I'm looking for. I'm not a breakfast person at all (I've never even had an omlette) so this is going to be an adventure for me. Also, is Kraft Free Ranch dressing okay? It only has two or three carbs and grams of sugar. Thanks in advance for the help!

Lisa

Hi lisa!

Well I'll tell you why I don't use real eggs I don't know if anyone else agrees or what but I use them because they are lower fat, and lower calorie and they last longer than real eggs which is a bonus cuz i don't eat a ton of eggs. You can find them in your grocers dairy case where they keep the eggs usually the substitutes will be on the top shelf and in cartons As to the ranch, I don't buy premade ranch dressing, I buy fat free sour cream and a packet of hidden valley ranch flavoring and you end up with only 25 calories per serving and 0 fat I don't know what Krafts pre-bottled contains but I like the way I make it just the same. I hope this helps!
Good Luck
Michelle
