Thought I would start a new thread. My reply went to 2 pages and so I copied it and put it here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Essie,
Take care of that elbow you poor thing. I love a good dry sense of humor. I take it the cousins are close. That is great! Hope you had a great time. I can't wait to see those too cuties. Oh yes, I could mean your nephew and son but I really meant the kitty and doggy. I'd like to see all 4. And you and Pete too of course.
Enjoy your sister. Mine is 540 miles away.

Jen,
We screamed so loud we scared Tanner. You would have thought the Steelers won the Super Bowl.
I was completely shocked when he said Jerri. I thought for sure it would be Elisabeth. Here is the order I want to win the Million:
Roger, Elisabeth, Tina, Keith, Nick, Colby and then Amber. She is the one I want off next.
Our dinner was great. I started my friendly TOM yesterday so I skipped weigh-in today. That, with my birthday, would have been a disaster.

Patti,
Welcome back. Don't worry about the weight. It will come off. I am sure. You had some good times. Enjoy the memories and get back to it without guilt.
I would say yes your hubby is still ahead. That win was wonderful.

Hi Anita, Dianne and Myra!

Hi 40's!!
Haven't been here in awhile so thought I'd stop by and post.
Went to see Phantom of the Opera yesterday and it was great. Really neat costumes and the music was incredible.
Food was another issue! Went to eat with some other people and not to a WW friendly place at all.
Just ordered, pushed it around a little like I was eating and there was so much conversation, no one even noticed.
Good time overall.
Still trying to learn names here so be patient with me! :)
Hope you all have a great OP Sunday.......

Hi everyone,

Anita, you posted correctly, I made a mistake and posted to the old thread. Your picture looks great, by the way!

We did quite a bit of gardening yesterday, mostly raking. My arms are pretty sore! The lawns look great though.

Hope you all are well. Have a great day!

Okay, Anita, fess up- you're really only 30, so you don't belong with the fabulous 40's!!! Great photo.
I saw the Phantom and thought it was great also. Loved the music. I would see it again in a heartbeat.

Hi everyone -- hope you're all doing well today. Be back later.

Hi Patti/Zoe, Essie, Jen, Dianne, and Terri!

Hope I didn't leave anyone out. Takes me forever to remember names! I do really belong here Dianne trust me!! But how nice of you to say I don't look it! I like you already. :)
Terri, Do you have a pic of yourself to put up?
Do you have a scanner? I know just a teeny bit about getting one up and might be able to help.
I had one of me stored on my computer which made it alot easier to get it onto this site.
I might be able to help you even if you don't have a scanner. Let me know if you have a pic you could even send snail mail and I might be able to work something out. I can't promise anything, but I can work on it.

Have the option to go weigh in tonight, not my week yet and I am trying to get off 3 lbs. I've gained, so may wait it out. May jump on my scale and see how I'm looking first. :s:

Hope you all have a great Monday and thanks for the nice welcome here. I like it!!

BTW, do you guys have a chat area here?

Just got back from bowling and on my way to bed. :dz: Have a bad cold (again). Hope you are all doing well.

 Hi Y'all ~ I was not able to get online yesterday due to a dental appt. that had me indisposed for the rest of the day. YUCK! But I'm back to normal and feeling great.

Only a half day today at work because we have box seat for the opening day at the ballbark here in Arlington, TX to see the Texas Rangers. I'm a big Ranger baseball fan so this is exciting. Hopefully, the food won't reel me in and will not call my name. :nono:

I hope you're all having a wonderful week so far. I promise to be back to "normal" here soon. :)

Love,

Thanks so much Anita. Yes, I do have a scanner. I also have a camera on my computer. I love that pose. It is so cute. I love those compliments about looking younger. Twice after taking my daughter to dr. appts. two women have commented that I did not look old enough to have her for a daughter. Brittany looks older than 14 and she is taller than me. I'll tell you, those comments made my day. What a booster so enjoy the compliment.

Dianne,
Just one thing to say to you. :p:
You are too funny. How are you doing?

Patti,
I hope you enjoyed your game. I love baseball too. That sounds so exciting. This has to be a much better day than the dentist day. Glad you are doing better. :D

Hi

Just a quick hello to let you know I'm still alive
I didn't have to get the cortizone shot. Dr. said I didn't need it. Now he thinks it's a pinched nerve.

Anita, great picture! I think it's so cool when you can add a picture.

Terri, all those compliments. Doesn't it make you feel good? Brittany most love it too. Now with 44 lbs off too, like my 13 yr. old niece says "you're a hotty" :D

Dianne, Jen, Patti & Myra I feel like I haven't been here in so long. I've been quite busy along with eating Girl Scout cookies  I'm throwing them in the garbage as soon as I sign off!!! Tomorrow is a new day right? I said I wanted to be 10 lbs. lighter by my birthday, doesn't look like that's going to happen  All in all I'm feeling good.

Gotta go watch my soaps.

Have a good night everybody ;)

Essie,
Thank you sweetie girl! You are late on the girl scout cookies. I ate them weeks ago.
Don't worry. You ate them and now they are gone. Pretty soon you will start over. You go girl!
We miss you.

Essie, I really enjoyed all the Girl Scout cookies. :( Like Terri said, they're gone now! We've just got to plan for those seasonal treats. I'm positive it's the way to go. the special occasions, holidays, etc., will always be there. I've got to start planning in advance so I don't fall into a bottomless points pit.

Zoe, opening day of baseball!...that's fun. I know our Cubs lost (so what else is new? ) but hope you enjoyed the day.

Dianne, sorry to hear you're under the weather. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Terri, Myra, Anita, Hi!!

I have what should be my last dental appt. (for a while!) tomorrow. Glad that's over!

Hi everyone!

Terri, are you able to use your scanner and store your picture?

You can get a photo up too, if you know how to do that.
Took my awhile to learn mine too. Had to play with it forever before I could even get the thing to scan at all.
Then sizing was a pain. It can drive ya crazy.

Had a hair appt. today and didn't get much else done. I have to start getting up a little earlier and starting my day. Would make a big difference for me.

About those girl scout cookies.....I had to eat a box of thin mints before I got a grip. Why, oh why, did I buy any? I say to help out the little kids. Yea, right. So who made me eat them?
The girl scout? I don't think so.

Oh, well, that was weeks ago....I'm still trying to get rid of that extra weight.

Gotta' go answer some email and get ready for bed.
I enjoy reading about you all....

Oh, still wondering, do you have a chat you guys go to???

One last post before turning in......

Anita, we all haven't been in a chat together. Last time I heard anyone on this thread attempting to get one going was at least a year ago. I'd be interested.

Essie, good thing you didn't get the cortisone shot. How do they treat a pinched nerve? I hope it's feeling better. Take care of yourself!

see you tomorrow...

My name is Joyce - I joined WW tonight... I have 100 pounds to lose. I tried WW at home but couldn't do it by myself. (Not to mention low carb, TOPS, etc.) I need the interaction of the group and accountability.

I would like to join your group if you don't mind?

I am 41 yrs. young, married 15 years to a great guy. We have a 20 year old daughter (actually he adopted her at age 5)....my first husband died in an automobile accident when she was 2 1/2.

I weigh 235.8, goal 135.

I need lots of support and feel that this is a great group.

I have been coming to 3FC for several years now searching for the plan that will work for me..... Finally I think I have found it...

Thanks,
Joyce

Joyce: Welcome to our little growing group. Nice to meet you. This is a great place to come to for support and to talk about anything and everything. These ladies are very supportive and we also have a few comedians in the group, LOL. I'm 47, married 22 years (2nd time around) and have a combined total of ("yours, mine and ours") children of 7 and grandchildren - 12 with #13 on the way in May. I'm a lifetime member of ww for 6 years, lost 30 lbs., gained back 15 and have about 12 more to go. We struggle together every day but we have some fun along the way! Welcome!

Essie: Sorry to hear about that elbow pain. Hope something works for you soon. As for the dreaded girl scout cookies, I guess we're all in the same boat -- I bought 3 boxes and there's 1 left, I finally threw it out.

Jen: Thanks, I'm feeling better, but still coughing. The people in my office are staying clear of me. I think they want me to leave, LOL.

Anita: I've been chatting on the 3 fatchicks.com chat since July. Met a lot of great people there also.

 Patti/Zoe - hope your'e both doing well.

Have a great day, ladies.

Hi Joyce  and Welcome!

I'm sure you'll like it here, the Fabulous Forties are a wonderful group. Lots of support and encouragement.

Hi to everyone, how're you all doing? I'm getting back on track slowly, don't want to lose that focus I had back in January. It's so easy to let it fizzle out, I can't let that happen again!

I was reading an old issue of O, Dr. Phil's column addressed the issue of being gung-ho in making resolutions to lose weight, and then falling by the wayside. His solution is to program yourself; that too much of good intentions to diet are based on emotions, and it should be approached as a plan, without letting one's emotions get in the way. It makes sense to me, and certainly can't hurt to approach this weight loss issue in that manner.

Hope everyone has a great day....Terri, Myra, Essie, Dianne, Zoe, Anita, and Joyce......wow, our group is growing :D !!

Thanks for the warm welcome Diane & Jen.

I am OP so far today, just really tired. I think it's because the weather has been rainy & cloudy all week long. I want to get outside and do some gardening. Not to mention the grass is getting higher & higher by the minute....can't mow because it's too wet.

Have a great day everyone! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better.

Hi Joyce.
Welcome!!!! :D
This is a wonderful group. You can do this and we will help you along the way. I am sure you can help us too. This is a hrad thing that we are all trying to do. I look forward to coming on here every day and talking to my friends. these are a bunch of great ladies.
I am Terri and I have been happily married for 18 yrs. and just turned 42. I have 3 kids aged 14 to 8.
I am a lifetimer and came back for the 3rd time since then and have lost 44 so far since May. I have about 19 more to go. Just hearing less than 20 lbs. freaks me out.
I hope you have great succeess with WW. It is a great program. Can't wait to hear more from you.

Dianne,
When do you go to the chat room. I used to go a lot and then stopped. Do you go to the WW room? Let me know when you are going. I go by Bucky.

Essie,
Take care of that elbow.

Terri - I go at all different times -- sometimes I "sneak" when I'm in the office  Most night I go in bettween 9 and 10. I go by (guess, LOL) decemberdianne. By the way, did Mary Claire tell you that she and I were on the chat one night and when she saw my name, she mentioned you and myra. We had a lot of fun. She told me she was gonna tell you we met on-line and you would flip, LOL.

Hope to see you ( all of you ) there.

P.S. I used to go to the ww chat, but I found it too crowded and not to friendly to be honest. The fatchicks chat is a "warmer" place to go, more personal.

See you's,

Dianne

Hi Dianne,
Yes, she told me on the phone that night. We call each other once in awhile. She was excited and she put it on the e-mail too. She must have been excited. I was supposed to meet her at the chat room that night but I couldn't. That would have been cool to see you there.

Hello Zoe,

Were you on the Low Carb thread at one time? I have posted on Low Carb, TOPS & I think a topic for the old WW exchange program. I have been active here on
3FC's since "99" trying to find the right diet for me. Finally I think I've found it.. I tried WW at home determined to do it on my own, then joined TOPs for accountability....There is nothing that replaces being part of a group that is doing the same diet and that can help you stay OP.

I have so many reasons to lose....high blood pressure, cholestorel, etc. I want to be at goal weight and healthy for my daughter & husband. My daughter just turned 20 and has a great boyfriend (my husband & I hope son-n-law) and I want to be alive & well for grand-babies since she is our only child.

Today was an OP day.

Hugs,
Joyce

How do you like WW? So far I think this is the answer for me after trying so many different things.

I loved TOPS. I did it for a year. They weren't strict enough with me. I didn't feel intimidated which is probably good but I needed it.
Are you there now? They are a great support group.

Hello my buddies and happy Friday:

It sure took its time getting here, LOL.

Essie -- How are you girl -- always, rushing around! Slow down, you're moving too fast, hey that was a song wasn't it???

Patti/zoe -- good job on the exercising/treadmill.

Now that the warmer weather is coming, I'll be able to get back out there to Charles Park and walk around the water. I love it! Walking has always been my favorite form of exercising.

Anita - I have a baby shower this weekend as well, my step-daughter's. She giving us grandchild #13 next month! Yikes, you must think I'm ancient, but like I said, it's a "your's, mine & ours" kind of family so some of them came with the package, LOL.

On Sunday, we are visiting another college with Alana - she has not made up her mind yet, so she wants to visit one more. I guess I won't accept her leaving until she actually goes, right now I'm just going through the motions. Guess I'll be in for a rude awakening!

Jen/Terri/Myra/Joyce -

Have a great weekend everyone.

Good afternoon everyone! Having a good day so far.

Essie - I was a part of TOPS but quit for the same reason as you. I just did not get enough push to follow a certain way of eating since everyone did their own thing. There are a lot of people that do very well with them, just not me. I gained weight instead of losing. So, I joined WW last Tuesday.

The sun is trying to come out after about 5 days of gray & drizzle. :( So maybe I'll be able to do some yard work tomorrow.

Zoe - What kind of treadmill did you get? Do you like it?
I want one so bad.

Diane - Walking is my favorite exercise too. That's why this rainy weather has me down. Can't wait to get outside. That is where a treadmill would come in handy. No rained out days.

Hello Allowery!! Thanks for the welcome.

Have a great OP day everyone!!!!

That was me , Terri, that went to TOPS. But that is ok it is hard to remember who did what where and when. ;) I didn't get the push I needed. Even though ut was cheap but why pay if you are getting nothing back. Good luck with WW. It is a great program.
I bought my beloved treadmill in Sept. at SAMS. I got a Proform. I love it.

Dianne,
You scared me. I thought it was Friday after reading your post. I thought I missed SURVIVOR. It is almost here but we have 1 more day. Whew!

:) Wow :) You guys have been really busy posting! I'm so glad to see our circle growing.

I've had a busy week, it's been fun. The weather is finally getting warmer, and I can tell spring is on it's way. I'm so looking forward to working in the yard and gardening. It's been a long time since we've had tomatoes!

Zoe, thankfully I've got one final dental appt., and I should be through for 6 months! That'll be nice. Great job on the treadmill!

Terri, who's going to get voted out tonight? I think Amber should go  I look forward to it, as my son is always home for dinner on Thurs., so we make it a point to have a nicer meal and enjoy the show together.

Joyce, walking is my favorite exercise also. Good luck with WW, it's good you've joined. It sounds as though you're into gardening? I am too, nothing better than playing in the dirt!

Dianne, Grandchild #13!!!! How cool. I absolutely love my 2 guys, I can only imagine how much fun it is to have that many. Enjoy the shower.

Essie, you are really on the go, girl!! How're you doing? Are you enjoying your sister living across the street? Hope so.

Anita, enjoy your weekend, and the shower. We're going to the greyhound races on Sat. p.m. with my SIL and her hubby. I don't like to gamble at casinos, but the racing is fun.

I've had, so far, a totally On Program day; have been drinking lots of water this week, which I know always helps me to lose. How is everyone else doing? How do you deal with the munchies?

Myra, Hi. I hope I didn't miss anyone.

bye!
