Hi,
Can anyone tell me if we can have Chinese food on SB? I love Cashew Chicken and Mongolian Beef but have been afraid to have any. Cashew Chicken has chicken, celery and nuts and Mongolian Beef has the beef, green onions and mushrooms. I just don't know about the sauces they are cooked in.

There is probably sugar and definitely cornstarch in the sauces along with MSG which is made from beets. I adore Chinese food but ould definitely avoid it in Phase I.

What if they don't use MSG? I thought I read that you could eat it if that was not used in it. I've really been wanting to go eat some chinese myself but have not yet.

Bamie, Ruth is right... even most of vegetables are coated with a thin sauce made with corn starch.
