Thumbs down Weekly Exercise Logs - 10/26 thru 11/1

OK ladies... today starts a brand new week. We did well last week, let's do even better this week!!!

Jen - you are SUCH a trooper!!!! Do you realize what a fantastic thing you did by going out and running 3 miles?!?! You ROCK!

Li'l miss sunseeker... I think it is awesome that you do so many different types of exercise. Volleyball, kickboxing, machines, lifting... no wonder you are dropping pounds like crazy!

How are we all doing on our goals for the week? the month? long term? I know I have fallen a little behind with mine. In the past two weeks I have been out of town twice and have had two weddings. I have been really off in terms of my eating and activity, but this morning I got right back on track. How are all of you doing?

Good luck this week! Let's really get out there and rack up the activity minutes!

This morning I went for a nice brisk walk for about 20 minutes. After that I went to the gym and jogged for 5 minutes then did 30 minutes on the elliptical cross trainer.

55 minutes total... not bad! Now to clean the house!

Default Sunday's activity

Today was a rainy day here....it would've been all too easy for my husband & I just to stay in & be cozy....BUT, we went to the gym! Yay us! And of course, we now feel better because of it.

I did:
30 min. walk on the treadmill (with incline intervals) at 4.4 mph
11.5 min. run on treadmill (1 mile) at 5.2 mph
5 min. cooldown walk

I challenged myself--after running 3 miles yesterday, to run ONE today was tough! But, all the sweating felt good, when I get down to it.

Default Monday routine

Today's workout:
35 min. elliptical
25 min. weights

I'm so sore today, especially in my left hip, from running! I did the 3 miles on Saturday and then yesterday did 1 mile (probably shouldn't have done that). Oops! I'm just so inspired to challenge myself through running these days.
I won't be attempting to run again until Thursday, and even at that, I'm going to see how the hip is feeling first.

Great job sticking with a safe workout program today! Impressive!

I did 35 min. elliptical, 8 minutes jogging, 5 minutes abs today. It felt good!

That's a great start! Stick with that for a while and I'm guessing you'll start noticing a difference!

Default Oops! How'd that happen?

This is so *amazing* to me, I just had to share. I was out for my walk tonight, and was planning on doing between 2 & 3 miles. I had decided *not* to run, because I've been sore from the weekend run, and wanted to rest. WELL, for some reason I ran a mile of it anyway!?!?! And, here's the kicker: BECAUSE I FELT LIKE IT! I'm so blown away by that--I have never "felt" like running before.
So anyway, all that to say:
Today's exercise: 3 miles (2 walked, 1 run)

Wow, ladies! You all rock! It's so uplifting to see everyone getting activity into their daily routine! Makes me want to go out and do more!

Today I did 35 minutes of walking up and down hills.

Jen, that is awesome! I can see how you feel. I almost sort of felt like I wanted to jog with my dog today, but he really goes fast and I have a hard time keeping up

Default Starting to work out again ...

Hi - I'm pretty new here, but I think this excercise log could be good for me. Sort of makes me feel like I have somewhere to check in to, where people are making sure I'm keeping up with it!

So, after a good September with Tae Bo, Afro-Carribean Aerobics and weight training a few times a week, I slacked off this month and am ready to start again....

Today:

35 minutes walk to school with a loaded backpack. (The buses were so full this morning that *two* went by our stop without stopping, so I said 'screw it, I'm walking to school!'). And, I'm glad I did - beautiful fall weather for walking!
