Tippy's darling daughter PM'd me last night to let me know that Tippy is in the hospital for a few days. They put her in there because or an irregular heartbeat. She is fine - just bored and wanting to come home.
I'm sure Tip and her devastating sense of humour will be back on The Beach soon.
Awww....Tippy! Hurry up and get back to the beach, okay? We always knew you were a bit "irregular," but your heartbeat? Isn't that taking things just a bit too far?
Sunday AM, about 4:30 I woke up with tightness , nausea and a racing heart. I knew the drill as this is my third episode...take an aspirin and call the ambulance! Spent three hours in emergency...try to find a cardiac specialist during the Labor Day weekend! Spent two days in ICU with nurses who do Atkins and SBD!!!!!!!!! We had a great time exchanging recipes and tips while monitoring my heart. I spent an extra day in a regular room and my heart "converted" by itself...no shocking this time!
I came home yesterday and feel okay.
I have to have blood work done every day for awhile as I
I'm taking warfarin (rat poison). It's a blood thinner.
I'll post more about what I learned about the SBD in the dailies.
Tippy-Glad to see you back! Sounds scary to have to go through that. ALSO sounds like you had a good time with the nurses! Hope that made it more bearable.
Isn't it funny that the same drug (warfarin) is used to treat humans and to kill rats? Guess that's why they monitor you so closely when you're taking coumadin, to make sure you're not over-anticoagulating!
I'm real interested to hear what you learned about SBD while you were in the hospital!
