Default Tuesday, April 12 - Terrific or Tranquil?

Good morning! I'm hoping for tranquil today. I plan to submit my tax return today and even pay the $$$ just in case I forget on April 30th. I file early only when I get a refund!

Barb is coming later today to do her taxes. I guess I'll be doing the data entry but that's OK. She and Mac have a low income and I try to make sure they get as many breaks as possible so they get a refund. We usually do this in February but my 2015 tax software got "lost" when the hot-shot TechTutor migrated "everything" to my laptop. Luckily my neighbour found it on the old machine and we got it installed on this one.

Yesterday's disgusting snowfall is almost all gone and the weather looks good for the Maple Syrup this weekend. It'll be a busy one with books and baking at the Town Hall, bread and flour for sale at the Mill with Miller Chris doing grinding demonstrations, pancakes etc. at the Fair Hall, craft sale, facepainting and helicopter rides for the brave - not me. I work the Mill and Town Hall Saturday and the Fair Hall on Sunday a.m. Luckily, smelling sausages and pancakes cooking really turns me off after the first half hour.

Whoops! After 7 and I've had two coffees. Time to crank up the day.

Here's hoping your Tuesday is Terrifically Tranquil!

Good morning,

I am getting ready to head into work, have another interview today, here's to hoping this one is a keeper. I guess I am hoping for a terrific day as it definitely will not be tranquil. Spent the majority of yesterday explaining to other teams why our wait times are so high (jeez being down 10 staff members is not a good enough reason I guess!!!)

Nothing on the agenda this evening. My scale is in a timeout hormones seem to be making it higher, hopefully if I drink enough water today it will help.

Have a great day everyone!

Ruth - I finally mailed my taxes last Friday, and we're getting a nice refund. Once I realized in February we were getting $$ back, I put it off until later. I hope Barb is okay to work with! I sure wish I could go to your Maple Syrup festival, it sounds wonderful!!

I hope today is tranquil for me - I'm having a test I pray shows something going on, otherwise....well, guess I'll walk slow as a turtle for a long time . It's still cooler out, so I'm making chili for supper (oops, didn't buy the kids Frito's scoops...food porn...). I did get to the grocery store yesterday, and Kalyn's kitchen's red beans and rice is also on the menu. OMG - how I love that recipe!! (the kids also eat that one with scoops! Time to go to Sam's!)

I think it's supposed to be a pretty day here, and warmer than yesterday. Maybe I'll get a bit o' sunshine .

Good morning.

Ruth Delta certainly depends on you!!! The Maple Festival sounds like fun. I don't remember the last time I had pancakes mmmmm

Tammy I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Thinking of you. The rice and beans sounds yummy.

Cyndi where did you learn how to make Buddha bowls? They sound really good!

Pearlrose keeping my fingers crossed the interview goes well.

Nothing new here. Just work. I do need to take Friday off for a funeral. One of my dear friend's mom passed away. The wake is Thursdsy, but I know I can't take off because a huge protest is scheduled. I can't wait for the Presidential nominations / elections to be over. She lives almost two hours north of me, but she is such a sweet woman I want to pay my respects. Guess I better make certain I am organized this week. I know I will be running on fumes lol.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning -

It is another dreary day here. I applied to jobs and ate breakfast. Going to go up in my studio and organize/ destash the rest of the day. Everyone seems to be doing well. Keep up the good work. I had eggs again today. Steak and salad for lunch and meatloaf and cauliflower with salad for dinner. I am going to make a breakfast casserole with the meatloaf. I am tired of cooking 3 meals a day. I am going to try to prep ahead. Thanks for suggesting the Phase I threads. I had not thought of transitioning. I will take a look today.

Have a great day everyone!

Nicole many of us, mys of included are big fans of crockpot meals. Super easy, plenty of left overs to freeze. I usually only cook once a month and then eat from my rotation. Bean salads are great for filling lunches. When I transitioned to P2 I couldn't wait to have an apple lol.

Jekel- I love my crockpot. How do you only cook once a month?

I am not sure what is going on today but I am having such bad cravings I am crying. I had 2 eggs for breakfast with onions, peppers and cheese. For lunch I had a salad and steak. I also snacked on almonds.

Evening, chicks. It was pretty much tranquil for me today; everything routine at work, no surprises, and this is my 2 days of feeling caught up after doing grades...until I collect another bunch of assignments! lol

Ruth, I am SOOOO ready for spring. When I was driving home today the rain turned white and frozen for a bit. Blech! But the weekend looks good.

Pearlrose, hope the candidate was a keeper today.

Tammy, how did your test go? Do you have to wait long for results?

Jennifer, I have a recipe for pancakes made with flax seed. DH and I make them occasionally for a weekend treat.

Nickki, I think someone mentioned recently, when you are doing P1, feel free to eat an extra serving of something OP. It can really help on those days you struggle.

I've got leftovers for dinner. Yum. Shall I have chicken or steak??

Jennifer, I had to go looking for the pancake recipe I use. It's from George Stella's low carb book. Google it if you need a treat....Maybe when it is berry season?
