Default Does this sound right?

I wanted to start eating better carbs, so I'm switching from white rice/pasta, to long grain brown rice, and I was just putting in my calories into MFP and 1 cup of rice came out to 680 calories, does this sound right?!

If so, I feel like I need to give it up because having .5 cup of rice for lunch and dinner doesn't fill me up at all and takes up such a huge portion of my calories =(

Just wanted to see what you all thought, thank you!

I think 680 calories is for 1 cup of the dry rice before you cook it. One cup of cooked long grain brown rice is about 216 calories. But even so, rice has a lot of calories for the amount you get. Add more veggies!

I agree with HowlinAtTheMoon. One cup of cooked long grained brown rice is 216 calories.

I agree with others about calories! You counted too much;-) You need to weigh in raw products and then just imagine what a big portion you will have after cooking!! So good carbs are really good! If yo add very low caloried veggies you will get really huge portion that will satisfy your hunger for looooong time!!
