I want to introduce myself. I am new to this group and found you all by searching information about IP vs Atkins. I am glad I did! I am a 44 yr old, very active farm girl, that can't keep weight off! This is my second attempt to IP. Initially I did great (2 yrs ago) however I started to feel less than supported during my sessions and never made it to maintenance. I was discouraged. I learned a great deal from the program (or so I thought) carbs are not my friend. I tried to eat well on my own, staying away from carbs, ordering veggies instead of starches on the menu, started a strict exercise plan (was able to do a 5K) but gained all but 10 lbs back! I am back at it and doing well, in day 4, no real hunger or issues of any kind. My greatest problems are bad eating habits like not eating regular and then binging when I get a chance to eat because I am so hungry. If one more person tells me "you aren't eating enough" I will smack them! I just wanted to say hello and wonder if anyone else is a second go round like me? If so, how successful have you been living a "real" life post IP.
Spending 35yrs obsessing about weight is enough time wasted!
