Default Atkins Book

Hi All! Which Atkins book do you suggest reading for someone new to Atkins? There seem to be quite a few updates to the original Atkins for Life book, I want to be sure I'm getting the best information for today.

Hi Sunkissed8,

You want to read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 or prior versions. These are the books Dr. Atkins himself wrote. The "new" books have been "altered" to include things that Dr. Atkins didn't intend be used during certain phases of the plan.

We don't know where Dr. Atkins would be on his diet now. The newer books are easier to follow and not that much different. I'd get the latest book or just go to www.atkins.com and get free all the info you need.

You are very welcome Sunkissed8.

I am a firm believer there is no substitute for reading the book before you begin this way of life. I would also recommend reading Dr. Atkins original plan Dr. Atkins Diet Revolution (1972).

As far as the Atkins website...once you can get passed all the advertisements for their "acceptable for all phases" processed products....I do believe there is an acceptable foods list in there somewhere
