...before people started noticing/commenting on it? I have lost 11 pounds so far and don't feel any different or see a difference in my body yet. I am ready for the compliments, because it has been hard work so far!
I will say...ONE person has noticed. My dad. He said he could see how much better toned I was because of the exercise I was doing, which feels good to hear.
I had 60 pounds to lose. It was crazy when I thought of how bad I let myself go. I refused to weight myself for the longest time thinking I was only 30 pounds from where I was when I was slender. WRONG! Now i've lost 32 pounds and I feel so good but I still have roughly 30 more pounds to go (20 till i'm not longer overweight) but I don't care because with every pound I lose the better I look People really started noticing around the 25 pound mark, now that its almost 35 the comments are nuts! No complaints here

my dear wife noticed after 20-30lbs and she was the only one aware of my journey. 90lb is when i started getting multiple comments from the office and gatherings (that was still wearing my now tent 6xl clothings).

i have about 70(?) pounds to lose...i need to look at my ticker...and i'm about halfway there...for me, i seem to notice that i've lost weight all of a sudden, like overnight suddenly look to myself much more slim than i did a day ago...sometimes the scale catches up and sometimes not for awhile...same for when i'm gaining a bit...one day i'll be like "wow howd i gain 5 pounds overnight?" lol
for other people noticing...once in awhile i get random comments from someone...a parent of one of my students remarked last week that it looked like i was losing weight...my DH will comment alot that i'm much skinnier now...but most people don't say anything and i'm actually just fine with that...it creeps me out somewhat to know that people are LOOKING at me enough to realize i've lost weight....
First time twenty pounds. This time... 9 pounds so far and no one notices (including me). it will probably be close to 20 pounds again as I regained a lot and quickly.
Interesting question as I have wondered about it many times too! About 10 yrs ago, I was around 172 lbs and overweight (for 5'6") by about 20 - 25 lbs. I dieted and lost 25 lbs and received compliments from many people, my dress sizes went down and I looked dramatically different at 148 than at 172. Right now I began my journey at 230 lbs, have lost nearly 30 lbs (I am currently at 200 lbs) and barely anyone has noticed it so far! BUT my dress size has indeed gone down from size 18 (1X) to XL/size 16. It is funny I mention this because while my shirt size has shrunken from 18 to 16, my pant size remains the same still at 18! But I can see a difference in my face myself, I feel my face doesn't look as chubby as before! And all that Cardio along with Vitamin pill and protein shake has given my face a radiant glow as if I just had a facial done! I am little disappointed people aren't noticing my weight loss but since I still have 50 lbs more to go, I'm still plump and that's why the 30 lbs isn't very obvious!
I have lost a little over 20 and people are starting to comment. I'm nervous about how many people will comment as I get lower, because I am also weirded out about strangers commenting.
I'm morbidly obese so I know it may well be a long time before people start commenting. I currently wear a 3x. Can't wait to get out of the plus sizes forever!
I've lost 10 so far and I can see it. I don't expect anyone else to notice until it's 20 or 30. That's usually about the point when others begin to notice.
My mom noticed after 9 pounds lol, but I think that's because I live with her and she has a watchful eye lol. Others? Probably closer to the 30 pound mark.
It took about 25-30 pounds for most people to start noticing, but my really close friends and family started noticing at about 15 pounds, when even I hadn't really noticed it.
Because there were so many hiccups in my weight loss journey where I'd just randomly start maintaining instead of trying, I'd like to say maybe after about 10 lbs (from 160 to 150) in my most recent attempt was when my close family started to notice. I do know my weight now is about 20 pounds less from the same time last year, so when I saw distant relatives for a gathering this past weekend, a few of them commented on how I lost weight, so while I can't give an actual number, at least I kind of know that 20 lbs really does make a difference!
