I'm not a featherweight, nor have I been at goal, but from what I know about my own weight loss patterns and from what others have said, people can bounce up a bit in weight as water weight and other things settle in (when you stop eating at a deficit).
Personally, I plan to go a few pounds below my goal weight just to give myself some "bounce back" room. Also, my eventual end-goal is a range of a couple pounds to give me a bit of wiggle room.
I too have decided to go below goal for a buffer zone. I am totally fine with how I look now at 110-111 but I know that when I make the move from concentrating on loss to concentrating on maintenance that I will go up a couple pounds as I try to find a balance. My goal is to get down to 105 so that I can sit between 105-108 as I figure out maintenance and then I still have a couple pounds to play with if I decide to over induldge on date night with my hubby or say at Christmas dinner. ect
I'm also planning on having a buffer zone. My goal weight is 135, while my initial goal weight was 139. This way I'll have a few extra lbs and can still be in the 130s
Anyone go below their goal weight to allow a little insurance in case of slip-ups?
Yes, I did!
I was at 53 kgs last Summer, and my dream was to lose weight and to go down to 45 kgs. I used to think that was the best I can do. But now I went down to 39 kilos and would like to try and to lose more! I'm very proud of myself!
