Exclamation Check your meds

Hi Everyone,
I have hypothyroidism (I had my thyroid removed in 06) and have been on meds since then. My endo knows I am on IP and encouraged me to do so. Well, For the past few weeks I havent been feeling well at all. I finally went to Dr this morning and it seems I am now Hyperthyroid. This is because my med dosage was based on my old weight and not my new weight. I was supposed to check in with my dr awhile back, I canceled for whatever reason , this is the result of me being careless. I also have been lax on my supplements which is also a reason to feel lousy. So I just wanted to share this to prevent anyone from making the same mistake I have. As you lose weight make sure to check in with your doctors to see if you need any dosage adjustments. Believe me, you don't want to feel as lousy as I do!

Thanks for the heads up. I hope you are feeling better very soon. A few years back, before we found the right dosage, I spent some time being hyperthyroid. Not a fun time.

I have my yearly check up with my endocrin Monday. I'm thinking I'm not going to get specific about how I'm losing weight, just keep it general (low carb, low fat, cutting out sugar). My doc is a diet snob and will entertain nothing but South Beach. I will be very interested to see how my levels look. I was D deficient last year. All good things to check up on.

Feel better soon!
