Weight Loss Support - Is this appropriate for wedding / Do I look fat in it?

Okay so I am going to my uncle's (Well step uncle but I love the guy lol) wedding the 25th this month. He met her while he was at a base in the military I think in Florida. Anyways I want to know if this fancy mini dress leggings waist belt combo is appropriate for a small wedding? I can't remember the last time I went to a wedding-I was a little kid. Also can I pull it off? Am I too fat for it? Be 100% honest. This dress fit me when I weighed 110 and is one size fits most... I'm not sure if I can still pull it off. What do you think? Help? My mom wants me to wear what I wore the last funeral but I hate that idea. Plus I personally don't like the idea of an ALL black dress at a wedding.

Now that i look at it.... it really isn't wedding approved lol. Well I'm gonna have to buy a dress this month LOL But can i still pull it off? Am I too fat for it?

I think it's cute! You are thin. I agree, not wedding appropriate, though

Definitely not for a wedding unless it were ultra casual. You look cute in it!

Going by the weight from your ticker - you do not look like you weigh that! You look great. I personally don't think I would wear that to a wedding but it's still very cute for the summer. Try Charlotte Russe or TJ Maxx for dresses for the wedding.

Thank you so much everyone! Yea I realized my error after I made the post xD too late. But if it looks good I could wear it wear it sometimes-since i only have 2 outfits-so I have more stuff to wear that fits! YAY!
celigirl88 Aww your so sweet. I have been told I carry my weight well but I definitely have a lot of weight to lose-when clothes are off it's more obvious and I would to be able to wear a bikini so... And in summer??? lol In OC Southern California It already feels like summer! My skin feels likes it's boiling cause we won't have AC till tomorrow.

I agree with everyone else. It's not really appropriate for a wedding, BUT you are definitely not "too fat" to wear it in general. I think it's an adorable outfit!

You're super cute and I love the outfit. Your legs look very skinny!

I agree with everyone else, you're definitely not 'too fat' to wear it and you don't even look close to 170 in my opinion! It's not wedding appropriate but that's been resolved, just wanted to say it looks great on you!

Thanks you three so much!
Angelic Fruitcake Aww your so sweet! But I wish my legs were skinnier. But thank you!
thinkfit Aww thanks! And ah but I am lol but I'm okay with it because I'm doing something about it. And no matter what nothings gonna stop me! :D My goal is a bikini body!
I'm glad everyone likes it on me. I think i'm gonna wear it to the therapists monday! :D This weekend I am wearing my jeans and belt because my aunt is coming and I kinda want to show off my weight loss a little xD (She know I've bee losing weight)

Definately don't look fat in it and it is quite amazing that you weigh 170. A friend of mine is 5'6" and 140 and looks heavier.
Are you weighing yourself in the evening with all your clothes on?
05-03-2013, 04:26 PM
Nope empty stomach, morning, after bathroom, no clothes. :) And I know I''m 5ft7 because my adoptive mother (Not biological mother) is 5ft9 and I'm a little noticeably shorter than her.

Yikes, I guess I know nothing about wedding etiquette because I totally would have worn it minus the leggings.
You look soo good in it!!! So skinny! :D Wow, I would have never guessed you are 170.
05-03-2013, 04:40 PM
yea it's pretty fancy without the leggings.... but it's REALLY short. xD And I'm tall. Not a good combo. You could see a little of the front of my undies if you tried xD And everyone is saying that. lol My close friends are surprised too when I tell them!

ITA! I would never believe you are 170.

I think you look adorable. It's not what I would think is appropriate for a wedding, but that doesn't mean you don't look awesome :). More demure is a better choice for weddings, like a sundress/strappy sandals/shrug combo.

That dress is just tooo cute on you... But wedding no.... DATE yes! :) You have the nicest legs (not meaning anything by that)... I have a feeling you could give Gwyneth Paltrow a run in the leg department.
Have a great time shopping... I think you might just have the "light bulb" moment when you try on the dresses showing how wonderful you look!
PS you look like the actress on General Hospital who plays Maxie... :)

It definitely looks cute on you. Would look great with some red shoes and accessories to tie in the belt. Also, you're simply very pretty.
But I agree that its not wedding appropriate.

Looks like I'm outnumbered - I don't think it's inappropriate for a wedding, but it isn't my taste in general. But I do agree that you aren't "too fat" for it.

I think it looks a little short on you.. if you still have that black dress, you could doll it up with a really bright color like yellow or orange (if it's an outdoor, spring/summer wedding)
if it's inside, you could doll it up with some darker colors like blue or purple.
That's what i'd do..? lol

:carrot: The outfit is cute, and you do not look fat!
That said, most likely, just my personal taste, since it will probably be warm, I'd opt for a "classic" sleeveless little black dress, just above the knee, and doll it up with accessories.
I do have 2 weddings to go to this summer and found the greatest little black dress!
If for some reason, I decide to not wear it to both weddings, I have a nice backup. A summer dress, spaghetti straps, figure flattering cut, just above the knee hem, "small" navy blue and white floral print.
Again, just my taste, but when I go to a wedding, unless I'm in the wedding and have to wear the brides choice, I want to look my best, but not distract from the bride or the bridal party.
