Good morning everyone! I am the early bird continually checking for the daily thread to go up...

The last posts of yesterday discussed whether there actually is science behind the advice some of us have received from our coaches to space out our eating every 4 hours?

Obviously, there are many who have not followed this timing and have lost plenty of weight, but I am curious whether spacing out meals does, in fact, affect the metabolism in some way? I'm so not interested in fighting with my coach when I see her this week.

Yesterday was my first TOM of the plan. Boy was it hard. My body felt so darn wacky. I'm sure it'll improve with time but yesterday was challenging. Could barely even think straight.

Have you read dr Tran's new book? Your coach should have it. It explains the Science pretty well. Ketosis gets us fat burning instead of glycogen burning. Eating more frequently is necessary to replenish glycogen when burning (basically) sugars. Fat burning happens all the time. Coaches just don't want us getting too hungry so we don't end up overeating (or, they don't have enuf training and don't know what they're doing)

No, I haven't read his book but have been wanting to buy it. Thank for reminding me to do so. :-)

I've watched his videos and like him...though I pretty much like anything French, well, except for escargots. :-(

Good morning everyone. Can you believe we still have snow! Doesn't help that it snowed again last night. Not much but it is snow! Hope everyone has a great op day.

Good morning all...
The sun is shining (yay!!) and our temps are supposed to increase this week (finally!)... so much easier to be positive with the sun being out...
Half way through my second week and finding I need to remind myself pretty frequently of why I am doing this reboot. And it's gotta be said...
To keep the healthy eating patterns and portion sizing I learned the first time round back in line...
To be proud of the food choices that I have made when the end of the day rolls around...
To be strong for myself so that I can be strong for those around me...
Feeling good in my skin makes it much easier to feel good in life...
To be a good role model that my children can follow so that they too may have a chance at a healthy life...
Hoping everyone has a wonderful, sunny day!

I was so hungry yesterday that I thought, "I gotta get our of this house!" So the kids and I went for a drive in the country where there's no drive thru. And we didn't come home till I finished 32 oz of water. But I didn't cheat. Yeah!

Good Morning Everyone! WI today lost another 3.6 woo hoo. TOM this week also ....so works for me. Strangely enough I have absolutely no desire to eat doing all possible to eat the minimum required. I heard IP does confuse your body when it comes to TOM but, never thought it would make me not want to eat.
They say sun is suppose to come out today I sure hope so. Have a Great OP Day!

Seems like the past 5 days have been the hardest since I started 4 weeks ago. I'm down almost 24 pounds but I don't notice and my clothes aren't any different. I feel discouraged and bored. I miss food and I have been so emotional........
Have ya'll experienced this at all?

Oh, yes..... It passes though! I was disheartened when I wasn't going down in sizes though my clothes were sagging! Every now and then I get down on myself. It helps to look at my before picture where I can see that I don't have that double chin anymore, the shape of my face in more angular and not round, my belly is hugely diminished.

You should also try some new recipes. It really breathed a new life into my diet when I saw how versatile everything is!
