Default What is your new favorite diet food?

Now that I am committed to losing weight, I am discovering foods that I didn't know were so yummy.

I had Spaghetti squash for the first time today with a tiny bit of butter and it was AWESOME!

What foods have you discovered or re-discovered that are really yummy?

roasted broccoli. I chop a garlic clove, mix with about 1 tbsp of pecans and a head of broccoli, spray with a bit of olive oil and roast it in my toaster oven for about 12 mins or so. Fantastic.

That's a tough one, but for cooking I love having the Miracle Noodles or Fiber Gourmet! Guiltless pasta!

Skinny cow ice cream stuff. Ok, maybe that doesn't count as diet food.

I was surprised actually how much I really like squash too. I think I had it somewhere with chicken and it was pretty darn good.

right now my favorite is nuts and chia seeds! if you add chia seeds to just about any liquid/ soup/ smoothie. It fills me up way more and curbs hunger naturally! They also have so many benefits.

I like spreading a laughing cow wedge over Fitness Bread (found at my health food store, it looks like a brick and you can see all the whole grains).

I also like to have a bagel (150 calories) with cottage cheese (100 calories) and topped with a tablespoon of olive spread (50 calories). Yummy!

Kale chips and chia seeds are definitely mine too.

Couldn't live without PB2 or the chocolate PB2 either, yum!

I am a regular consumer of Redi-Whip fat-free "whipped cream" topping. One can contains 200 calories total and lasts me 1.5 to 2 weeks. I eat it with berries, and on top of diet hot chocolate, jello or pudding.

It really feels indulgent without tempting me the way so many things can tempt me. Not like real whipped cream, but still: tasty.

I bought some Prosciutto and cut up some cantelope and brought it to work for a snack--I think it'll be a "go to" snack for a while--some protein, some cool and sweet.

Roasted broccoli or cauliflower, they take away a craving for chips or fries. I roast thew with a little olive oil and sliced garlic.

Sun dried tomato on chicken breast

Like someone mentioned above, I really like spaghetti squash. But I wouldn't say its addicting.

One thing that IS addicting that I used to eat because it was low carb is almonds. I loved eating them... so much so that it became a problem because I couldn't help but eat too much. They were TOO addicting. I had to actually stop having them around.
