Default JANUARY RUNNING - Oh the weather outside is frightful....

Well welcome to [for most of us] a COLD month of winter running! I'm guessing the treadmills will see a lot of action!

I myself haven't had much to post - I hurt my left foot running 10 miles on Dec. 24th and have been told to rest by foot doc until this Saturday due to a pulled muscle in the foot. I am CHOMPING at the bit to run but my foot felt agitated this morning again...it's extremely frustrating especially since I have a half marathon in Key West on January 19th...I hope someone else has better news to share!

Thanks Deva! Sorry I didn't start this until Jan 2nd. So I think Cherry took the reigns...I think we'll be posting instead in: Running Resolutely in January....I'll go to it now.

Question

I got sick with a very nasty virus that wouldn't let up for over 8 days. Yesterday was my first day back to the gym and I lost a lot of endurance. Can that happen that fast?? Maybe I feel alright but my body isn't 100% yet perhaps?

Recovering from my MCL tear and not running has been torture! I decided not to run a marathon in the spring because of the time I've lost, but I have a half at the end of April so I'm going to work on that.

Today was a slow, muddy 7 miles.
