Mon: 12/3 = Took a break from walking.

Today: A great 3 mile video from her website. Not sure of the title but I sweated as much as I do from 4 Fast Miles so I will be incorporating this one into my favorites.

Glad to have found this thread, was just getting ready to go home from work, and tonight I was going to start a Lesley DVD again. Will probably only do 1 mile but that's a good starting point, as it has been a long time since I have done any, and I have packed way to many pounds back on since spring.

Last night I realized that I am discusted with myself for letting myself gain all this back so here I go again.

I did the 3 Mile Calorie Blast this afternoon. Was super busy today, but I took out a little over an hour of my day to do my video and bodyweight exercises. No excuses!

Way to go with 5 pounds! I tried to use my 5 pounders, made it about 3 lifts was like nope, and went back to my 3's, lol.

I use the 5lb weights that circle your wrist. I think they are made for ankles but they work great as hand weights.

3 Miles with the Green Band (I used a resistance tube) early this morning and Women's Walk (2 miles) this afternoon. Taking a rest day for sure tomorrow.

Took yesterday off. Did a 3 mile video today (not sure of the title).

I'm really enjoying the 3 mile walks. I'm focusing more on strength-training this month so I find the 4 and 5 mile walks tend to wear me out and the 2 mile walks are not enough.

I have her stability ball abs one but I don't care for it so I use the one by Cathe. Leslie's is called "You Can Do Ab's" I think.

I just did my first WATP exercise video this morning. I was doing JM 30 Day Shred, however I live in an apartment and the jumping go too loud for my neighbours, whoops. I was surprised by how difficult it was, I was expecting a walk in the park!!! I did the 3 mile abs one. I'd like to total 30 miles for the month.

hey gang :wave: how is everybody doing? i haven't forgotten about ya'll ;)

is everybody busy getting ready for Christmas? i'm just about there. i'm hoping my doc will release me on January 4 so that I can get back to everything. I feel good except for a lack of energy, which is in part that i'm anemic and also in part bec i'm not exercising (that alone makes me tired and sluggish) but anyway, I'm good.

Today is my day off, does anyone else feel, I don't know, weird when you don't work out? I kind of feel lazy and wrong for taking a day off. I still eat carefully so it isn't like I just go crazy but it just feels so odd not to get up and workout. I do admit I am obsessive over things easily and I chalk it up to that but am I alone in feeling this way?

Hello ladies! On top of being swamped at work and trying to get ready for Christmas, I pulled a muscle in my back this week. I only exercised once or twice. Disappointed, but my back is feeling better now. I am supposed to have a minor dental surgery the day after Christmas, but we are expecting a big winter storm here and I'm not certain it will happen. Will get back to exercising either right after Christmas or when I feel better after the surgery.

4.4 pounds, oof, I could not have started with that heavy of weights, I had literally no visible bicep muscle when I flexed, it was so pitiful. I started out with some of the walk away the pounds videos with her using weighted balls, I started with just the arm movements then slowly added 2 pounds because honestly that is all I could manage at the time. Now I use WATP videos with arm movements but no weights used and use my own weights (heading up to 4 pounds, I am so proud, lol) with the arm movements and add my own arm exercises as I walk, whatever feels comfortable with the walking step we are doing at the moment. I carry the weights every day and figure that even if I carry them I am at least burning a few more calories than if I were empty handed. I don't know if it is true or not but it makes me feel stronger somehow so I keep doing it, lol. Now I have bicep muscles, not huge ones but to me they are the most amazing things I have ever seen, I am all the time showing my hubby (he is a welder so he has some muscles) my "big guns" then I kiss my biceps and laugh like a loon, lol.

Finished up my last 5 miles last night so I hit my total of 30. Not a lot, but not too bad since I started halfway through the month.

I have worked my way up to 5lb weights with the Burn Body Fat and Sculpt Your Arms DVD. She only uses 3 lb at the heaviest but 5 doesn't seem that much harder. I find that you can use the weights in almost all the dvds if you don't swing them around as she teaches in the above video. There are a few other dvds that use weights but not many of the WATP ones. Still doing 2 mi. with weights and 2 mi. without

I always try to be very careful when using weights and not throw them around too, Leslie is up there with everyone flailing there arms around and I feel like i am barely moving my arms at all, but I know it would be way to easy to injure myself if I tried those large movements with weights, lol.
I can see myself flinging the weight to one side and me just kind of flopping after it, dislocating my shoulder and blacking my eye when I hit the table when I was on the way down to the floor, lol.

Checking in at the end of the year! I got my 500 miles in as of this morning.:carrot: Hadn't exercised for over a week before that. Now that my back is better and my mouth is healing, it's back to it!
