I've been doing this for a couple of weeks and I'm starting to think it's too much. I've recently started back into eating right and working out after gaining 80 lbs doing nothing but eating. Should I be taking a day off here and there? I just bought a medicine ball to work on my core and arms. I'm 10 lbs closer to my goal of losing 99 lbs and don't want to get off track. I've lost the 10 lbs in one month and have gone from a size 22 to 18 in that time, so I'm sure it's working, but my legs are growing increasingly sore.
Sounds like it might be a good idea to switch it up, especially since the leg soreness is cumulative. I've heard changing it up is good anyway, because if you do the same exercises over and over then your body becomes more efficient at doing those specific exercises and they stop being a effective for weigh loss, but that's just something I've heard *shrug*. Working your core and arms doesn't sound like going off track as long as you continue to push yourself. Bravo on the 10 lbs this month!
Ok. I now am working on abs, lifting small (3 lbs ) weights, tossing around an 8 lbs medicine ball all for about an hour 2 days a week. I'm also taking my dog on an hour walk 2 days a week. 3 days a week, I'm doing my 12 miles or 1 hour on the stationary bike. My legs aren't quite as sore, but I feel "weird" not sweating as much 7 days a week (though I've only been doing this for 6 days).
