i measure my veggies before baking and then divide according to how many portions i make after they are dehydrated. usually i make 2 cups slices measured before baking and then if i eat them all, i know its 2 cups, if i only eat half, and save the other half, its my 1 cup. i had never measured them after but just went down to measure the zucchini chips i made yesterday and 1 cup raw reduced to about 3/4 cups dried....but that was a wide zucchini and not a smaller around one.
for the buns...i split my protein and have 2 oz for lunch and 6 oz for supper. eating 8 oz was too much for me along with the veggies. coaches seem to differ on splitting dinnr protein most of the responses i read was that it was ok to split the protein.
that way when i make a bun for lunch i can have a ham sammie with it.
OR...if i make the buns, and make 2 thins ones, ie. 1/2 the recipe...and i make the ip chicken patties and make 2, ie. 1/2 serving, then 2 half servings equals a whole serving. at least thats how i do it.
i dont think it really matters as long as you get your daily allowance in
sometimes i will have half an ip product with another 1/2 an ip product....for variety. no one said it had to be 1 entire packet.
i will be curious to see how others do!!
i also sometimes measure by weight and use calorie king as a guide
