So, after fighting these awful binges for almost two years (and especially the last eight months, in which I have struggled daily and had 5-7 thousand calorie sessions) I have decided to finally accept the offer of medication, zoloft to be precise. This is no quick fix for me- I will be in therapy as well as keep up with OA meetings, and I'm hoping that with some work, the combination of the three will give me back some sanity in my eating.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Zoloft and binge eating? I've looked through earlier threads, and there seem to be very mixed reviews of how zoloft has affected weight, but I'm interested in seeing how it functions when being taken specifically for BED.

Hi there. I've never taken zoloft, but have tried a few other different prescriptions (wellbutrin, topamax, luvox) (not all at the same time LOL) to help with depression and binge eating.

Thanks for your reply- it is reassuring to know I'm not the only one struggling through this! Did you find medication helped you with the binge issues?
