Greetings from Florida
Hello,
My name is Kat, I'm a 31 year old married mum of two and desperate to lose weight. I decided several weeks ago, after some major changes in my life that I needed to start shedding the pounds. Lots of them. I stand around 5'2" and weigh approximately 253lbs. The fact that I even say that out loud for me is a great first step. I hate how much I weigh and I feel it every day. My goal is to loose around 100lbs.
I have managed to change my diet and I tell myself all the time that this is a lifestyle change and not something to do for the time being. I've been consistently working out almost 6 times a week for about 20 mins at home for the past 3 weeks (my neighborhood isn't the best and gyms are far too expensive for me). So I feel like I'm off to a relatively good start, but I know I have tons of work ahead of me. One of my biggest challenges is that my husband, who is also overweight, is not in anyway shape or form interested in dieting/exercising so everything I do, I pretty much do by myself. The other is that I have an office job and spend most of my days stuck to a chair.
With all that said, I'm hoping that I can find lots of motivation on this board as well as maybe some friends, helpful tips, tricks and all that fun stuff on my journey.
