I am a red haired, dog loving, geeky woman that has been dealing with obesity since my early teens. I had RGY surgery in 1997 and at that time, the best guess at my weight was 340+. I am so grateful that I had the surgery and it did save my life. I have gone through a very bad patch in the last few years and found myself back up to 214 (my lowest weight was 145). I am type 1 diabetic to top it off! LOL On Sept. 14th 2011 I picked myself up and dusted me off and started to change my eating and exercise habits. (Ok I have NEVER had exercise habits) I am working out on a treadmill for 20 minutes 5 days a week and have cut out added fat (cooking in oil, adding margarine to things, fat free half and half etc.) and quit using salt. I am down to 180 and struggling with cravings in the evenings.
I look forward to getting to know you all.
