my hubby and son got chinese take out yesterday. so i got me a meal from the store sweet sour chicken with rice that had calorie count on it. i got my chinese too.

totally works!!

OR, if there's one type of chinese food that you like (i've always been a huge fan of the sweet/sour pork or chicken or beef or whatever) you can always grab a portion sized ammount, ballpark some calorie counts online, and toss it over a salad!!

there's enough sauce on there to not need a dressing, you get some chinese, you get a bulky meal, AND nobody feels "deprived". win-win-win =)

Every takeout Chinese restaurant that I've seen has a "diet menu" toward the end that you may want to check out. It's steamed protein and veggies with rice (my favorite is steamed chicken and broccoli) and they give you sauce on the side, which I use to drizzle a little on my meal.
