Default hubby will be home soon and I feel yuck

I can't say how soon because he's on a military deployment but SOON. I'm so nervous! I haven't reached my goal weight, and he's been gone for six months. I'm pretty disappointed in myself. I know HE won't care but I do, if that makes sense.

I cheated tonight too, I had some macaroni and cheese. My ultimate weakness.

I haven't been able to workout because I had minor surgery on my stomach and had stitches but now they're out and I'm healed up and ready to go.

Now I just need to motivate my butt.

Any words of wisdom? Tips? Advice?

Walk.

You'll start to feel better about yourself by just getting up and moving.

You're lucky you're in Florida where the nice, less humid weather is probably settling in. While you're walking start thinking about making small daily improvements you can make to your diet. When you're done walking have a tall glass of water to start the fat moving out of your system. That's what I think about each time I drink water.

Good luck to you.

Thanks for the advice!

Yes the weather has been lovely lately. I'm honestly just very lazy. Its my biggest problem. I just need to get my butt in gear and take that first step out the door.

I think a lot of us would say we were lazy too, but I really think it's not as much that we're lazy, as that we were in a habit of doing nothing. After awhile it feels normal to do nothing and very abnormal to exercise. But after the first couple of times exercising, your body will start to feel like this is a perfectly normal and acceptable activity - and the sitting around will start to feel like the exception.

You can do it - just get up and do it!

Hi vanillasunshine! Why not find a mac and cheese that works with your diet? Do you have Trader Joes in FL? They make a froze, single portion "guiltless" mac and cheese for 270 cals, which is delicious! That way, when you go for it, it won't break your diet.

Also, don't let your hubby's homecoming be your deadline - let the final achievement of your healthier body be your deadline. You will get there.

I'll have to look into that!

My husbands homecoming used to be my goal but I've changed it to my final goal of 140 and that will be whenever I reach it and not a specific timeline.

I'm just so nervous about seeing him and being comfortable around him. He loves me for me and has told me countless times that as long as I'm trying to live healthy and do it for me he supports me.

Its just me that has the issues

My husband is deployed too. I restarted my weight loss efforts a few days after he left in September. He knows I'm losing weight but he has no idea how much or what I look like now. For me the number one thing has been getting control of my eating habits. It's been pretty easy since I am the only person capable of bringing food into the house. I had to realize quick that the momentary satisfaction of eating one of the foods I crave does not even come close to the satisfaction I'll get when he sees me next year. I give myself a cheat day once every two weeks but I don't let my eating get completely out of control on those days either. I usually cap them at between 1500-1800 calories when on a daily basis I eat about 1200.

You're doing so good!

I'm sure you'll meet your goal! Its very inspiring. I just need to regain my self control. I used to be a total health nut but I lost track somewhere along the way.
