Going out two Texas to our oldest daughter's house to spend Christmas with her, son-in-law and grandson. The youngest daughter will fly out as well. I refuse to be the thick cream between two thin wafers (two skinny daughters) in all of the pictures AND I refuse to avoid the camera because of the way I look. I hardly have any pictures of me with my grandson because of that. Enough is enough!!!!!!! While I am grateful that my daughters are healthy and fit I can't stand being the fat one sandwiched between them. People used to think I was their sister now I look like the fat granny. Done with it! I WILL move forward!
romansdoda, what's your plan for getting the weight off? Are you gonna set a few many goals so that you don't feel overwhelmed with losing the weight? I actually weighed in today at 174.0 even and my ultimate goal is 136. I'm hoping to be down to 150 by Thanksgiving. We can do this.
I do have some goals set but I am not sure how to enter them in. Don't have the graphics figured out yet. Realized this weekend that I lost two lbs. Don't have a scale at the VA house; we came to our mountain cabin and I weighed myself and it was two pounds less than the gym scale. The scales are very similar but waiting till I get back to see what the gym scale reads. I think that it is reasonable to shoot for a 20 lb. loss by Christmas. I don't want to set it too high or too low. We CAN do it!
I think you have to have 20 post and be a member for two weeks I think in order to set your signature up. I'll come back and check to see how things are going with you and keep you posted on how I'm doing. Thanks Rennie, I will check that forum out, accountability is very important. I thought I read somewhere that you had to have 20 posts but I thought that was just for the graphics for the weight tracker. I'll try in a couple of weeks. Drink lots of water
for the 20 post go to the top where it says new post and reply to the ones that you can relate to, you'd be surprised at how quickly they add up yeah I have my 54oz bubba cup, I'm on my second one for the day

Good luck with your plan. If you don't reach your goal weight by then, however, stand behind them with your chin out and down and look up....you'll look 20 pounds thinner.

124chicksinger thanks for the camera advice. I have never been a fan of the camera even when I was at my best weight. No matter what I look like I am so proud of our daughters, not because they are thin but because they are AMAZING women that are making their part of the world a much better place.
Welcome. I certainly understand being the "fat one" and not wanting your picture taken. I am a new and first time Aunt and feel the same way. I want to play with my niece and have my picture taken with her and be proud, not embarrassed. Good Luck!!

On the subject of pictures, I prefer only face/head shots my body has a long way to go, but my face has thinned out with 21.4lbs I have lost since joining 3FC so I don't think that looks too bad. For my stomach, black is the best thing for me.
Girlvet, I completely get it. I know my grandson doesn't look at me and love me for what he sees but for the relationship we have but...you are right, it is so hard being the one fat girl in all the pictures. But...not gonna dwell on it but use it as motivation to push forward. Congratulations on being a new Aunt, enjoy. Our daughter loves being Aunt B
Hey Rennie thank you for the info on the website I will definitely check it out. Head shots are a great idea but that will be kind of hard when alot of photos are of us playing with our grandson. 21.4 lbs.!!! That is amazing! Don't you just know that with all that effort put forth it will be 44.4 and then 64.4 and so on and so on. YOU GO GURL!
Thanks RomanDoda. Our oldest daughter is really skinny so I do understand the picture thing. She can hide her body behind mine but she's taller than I am. Oh I see you got your twenty post just need your two weeks now What part of VA are you in? I'm about a hour outside of DC give or take depending on traffic.
Love2b150 I am in Yorktown VA, the Tidewater area about 45 min. west of VA beach. I grew up in Arlington and my sisters and brother are in Fairfax. My husband grew up in DC so I am very well aware of that crazy traffic. Where about outside of DC are you? I can't wait till I reach my 2 weeks!
