Good-bye 170s!
Super great day. Weighed in today, first time in 3 weeks since we were on vacation in London for 11 days.
I lost 3.4 pounds! That got me into the 160s (first time in 12 years) and a 35 pound star!
This is also 1 year and 1 day since I went back to WW last summer and I've lost a total of 35.8 pounds...basically 3 pounds a month.
DH is also doing WW and he lost 2 pounds and got his 55 pound star.
I was so happy not to get derailed on vacation. I used the WW pedometer while there, tracked every day. (In fact, I have tracked every day, not missing a one, since I went back last August). I had to eat more carbs than I like while there which blew me up with water retention. When I weighed at home on Monday after getting back I was about 176 pounds! However, I went back to really watching carbs and lost all the water weight. We walked a ton in London so I think that really helped.
I also was thinking about the fact that I basically averaged 3 pounds a month over the last year. (FWIW, my weight lose is a little faster on average since I started Points Plus -- about half a pound a month faster).
On the one hand, yeah, I wish I could lose faster. I've tried all kinds of things to lose faster. Eat all my WP, eat none of my WP, eat all my AP, eat none of my AP, eat WP first, eat AP first, exercise, no exercise, eat low fat, eat low carb, etc. The bottom line is that I am just a slow loser. I had only a few weeks during the year that I gained. I do lose a little faster on Points Plus and on low carb but the operative word there is "little" faster.
That said, I'm happy that I stuck with it for an entire year, never went off program, never failed to track and always kept weight loss as my main goal even when we were on vacation.
