Hello! So glad I found this site! I feel like I should tell you how I got here.

My Grandfather and father were both in the military, so it's always been a dream to follow in their footsteps. I've tried my entire life to get into shape, but I've seemed to fail EVERY TIME. I WONT allow myself to fail this time. I can't let my weight destroy my one dream. I'm giving myself a year to drop the weight. After that, I'll hopefully be joining the Marines!

Anyway, I'm extremely tired of doing this on my own. It gets really hard to stay strong and lose weight. Thankfully I randomly found this site while on Google. . Can't wait to meet new people, read their stories, and learn!

Welcome SF! I am new also and am undertaking this weight loss journey in part because of military reasons. I want to join the Air Force within the next few years. Lean on those here, stick with your goals, and good luck.

Welcome to you also! I actually do have a plan. I've been talking to a marine that was once in the same boat as me. He lost over 150 LBS! He really is a blessing at this point. He's justhelping me with the exorcise I need to start with. He's also helping me with what I should be eating and when I should be eating it.
