. . . I need a very personal favour.
I am running the Marathon in a little over two weeks for Bliss, which is a premature baby charity. I have written a song which I am having recorded called Born too Soon, but I need images to make a video to go with it.
What I need is pictures of premature babies in incubators and of parents holding their babies, or hugging each other.
They will be used in the video and may well be featured on television. Each image will display the names of the parents and the child and the gestation at which they were born, eg John and Sarah with Jamie (28 weeks).
If you are willing to donate copies of your photographs for this wonderful charity, please email me your photos at
[email protected] with the details as above please.
Thanks
Julie
Lyrics:
Verse 1: Mum
Tiny fingers, tiny toes
Will she make it, no one knows
Lying there so small and still
Will we ever take you home?
CHORUS: Baby (sung by child)
Why was I born too small?
Fighting for every breath
I wasn’t ready to be out here
Why was I born too small?
Verse 2: Dad
Must be something I can do
If I could I’d breathe for you
I can only touch your hand
I know you don’t understand
CHORUS: Baby
Why was I born too small?
Fighting for every breath
I wasn’t ready to be out here
Why was I born too small?
Verse 3: Mum and Dad
You were born to teach us love
Angel lent by God above
Only stayed here for a while
Never even saw you smile
Bridge passage: Baby
I wasn’t ready to stay with you
Born too small and born too soon
Please don’t forget me or ever regret
I was born too soon
CHORUS: Mum and Dad
Why was she born too small?
Fighting for every breath
She wasn’t ready to be out here
Why was she born too small?
Why was she born too small?
