I'm sick and have a sore throat and all I want is a cherry cough drop, but I also don't want to set myself back any. Is there anything that I can use to help make me feel better?

If you can stand to do it, gargling with vinegar can help a sore throat (my dad swears by it, but it makes me gag!) - don't swallow!! A less harsh option would be warm water and (sea) salt for gargling. I like hot tea with lemon - add some Stevia or Splenda if you like your tea sweet like I do, since we can't have honey.

Unfortunately, the sugar free cough drops - which they do make! - mostly seem to contain aspartame, with the exception of Chloraseptic Sugar Free Total Sore Throat and Cough. Those have sucralose instead of aspartame, if you can find them. Check them out at chloraseptic dot com. They have a list of products and their ingredients.
