I found the Jingle away the Jiggle challenge so helpful because I was accountable for reporting my weight every week. I thought it would be helpful to have a thread where I could come every week and write down my weight. I am going to make one post and edit it every week with my new weight. I invite anyone who would like to have constant accountability to join me in this thread. I am so happy to have this support system and want to thank you all for helping me on my weight loss journey! Thanks! I am a calorie counter. I started pretty strictly with 1200 - 1400 calories and did that for a long time. It has varied since then and I am actually trying to do 1800 calories per day now as I work myself closer to maintenance.

I've been lurking and reading this thread for a while. I have to tell you how proud I am of you! Just keep up the great work and attitude.

I also realized when I looked again at your weekly tally sheet that you've never had a week with a gain. A couple "0" weeks, but no gains. That's a great accomplishment and shows how dedicated you have been to getting healthy. Maintenance should just be second nature to you by now. WooHoo.

I have now maintained at 198 for 2 months... yay!! Any loss after this would be fine, but I am okay with staying at this size too :) I feel like i have reached my goal. I am in size 12/14 and loving it!!

When I saw this back up at the top of the list, I realized I hadn't seen it in a while. Good job, southernbelle! You have really done a fantastic job. I'm maintaining, too, since the beginning of October. It's a lot the same as when I was losing, I think. Just with a bit of candy or pasta now! LOL.

Hope you have a great "end of year" and that the holidays don't mes things up too badly. I'm thinking that I might try to get to about 157 after the first of the year. Maybe a pound or 2 a month. No faster than that.

I'm with you at being OK with where I am right now. Size 10 or 12 pants, medium or large tops. No plus sizes. But a few more pounds off as a comfort zone might be good. We'll have to see what the new years brings!

I agree, maintenance is exactly like losing... I just eat a few more treats on the weekend ( well sometimes more than a few.... But that seems to be working :) ).

I've been super strict this week so that I can enjoy the holiday weekend without guilt :)

I just popped in again to ask if you have before and after photos? I clicked the link you posted a while back and don't see those photos now. I'd love to see the total transformation. have a great maintenance New Year! I'm going to check here every once in a while as I try to maintain. Your dedication to this goal really is inspiring.
