So tonight me and the bf had Thanksgiving dinner. Yes, I am about to turn 31 and this is the first I have ever cooked! (He is a cook) and he normally cooked holiday dinners or we'd go see our fams. This year we stayed here and *I* cooked and it was kind of a big huge mess, but I had fun! (and bf cleaned up) haha.
here is a pic for you guys! What it entails:
zucchini, yellow squash, carrot saute, homemade **EDIT** MASHED sweet potatoes (a smidge of margerine, splenda, cinnamon and vanilla soy milk), and the star of my plate *drumroll plz* ........ a NUT ROAST! Ha. Smothered in chickpea gravy. I've never had this before and never attempted to make it but it was AMAZING! It was a layer of nut roast fixins, a layer of stuffing and then another layer of nut roast topping. The recipe made a HUGE batch. Enough for two whole pans of 'roast'!
FEAST your eyes!
