So we were watching TV and I did have a decent amount of calories from the day I hadn't eaten. The family was munching on different things.. hubby had popcorn, oldest DS had chips and salsa (my homemade, home canned, yummy goodness ) and though I wasn't really hungry I wanted to munch. I decided on a small banana and a TBS of peanut butter. I then chewed a piece of gum to keep me from eating more. Well, as I was putting the peanut butter away I started to open the lid... then I STOPPED and gave myself a talking to.. "Sommer, just because no one else is in the room to see you doesn't mean that the peanut butter doesn't count, you are working so hard, don't let this stupid jar get the best of you!". I think walked over to the pantry and put the jar away, went to the living room and picked up my knitting because others were still snacking and I wanted to snack too.. and I quickly realized I really just needed something to do with my hands (my mouth already was busy with the yummy extra chocolate mint gum). I stayed in my calories for the day.. and the peanut butter didn't win
I love the Extra Chocolate Mint gum, got me through last night as well.
I was really struggling myself, and wanted something sweet and snacky. Since I do not have that in the house, and I had to run to the store for dinner tonight anyway, I grabbed a pack. YUM.
Good for you and yay for the gum that gets us through.
That is awesome! I'm very proud. Those night time munchie cravings are the worst! I swear they are more powerful than any other craving, to me anyways.
Keep up the good work!
It is part of their "desserts" gum. They have chocolate Mint, Strawberry shortcake and Key Lime pie I think. They are pretty spot on. You can probably get it at the grocery store.

Now the strawberry shortcake I can't seem to think actually strawberry shortcake, but I can think the old strawberry hubba bubba I chewed all the time as a kid, makes me feel nostalgic lol
Thanks everyone. Last night I didn't win the battles, though I didn't go over, I ate when I didn't need to ugh (I always leave myself some "slack" calories )
So Good to read. I had a terrible day... Lets just say I did not put down the peanut butter and pick up crocheting (can't knit yet) It was good to get on today and see that the right choice is possible THANK YOU!!!
