100 lb. Club - When and where did you start noticing?

As of today, I've lost 15 lbs. I don't see it, but I do feel a little better. Maybe my feet look thinner...if that's possible :)

When (how much lost) did you start noticing your weight loss and what part of your body did it show up first?

around 8 or 9 pounds.... in my belly and hips mainly. I've already undergrown two of my most worn pairs of jeans, and more are going to have to retire soon.

We're near the same height... have you noticed that your clothes fit differently, too?

I have one pair of capris that I can't keep pulled up, but I've convinced myself that they were always big. Sadly, I can't remember :P

For me, it always shows up first in the waistline. I can tell by the fit of my jeans straight out of the washer & dryer.

A little later, I can feel it in my bra band, even before the cup size changes.

My face is another early beneficiary of any weight loss. I thought weight would come off there last, or late, but no. For me, anyway, my chin starts getting whittled away, as do my cheeks. But I'm pear-shaped, so that makes sense. The heavier parts are the last to go.

My face and boobs. I've lost 20 lbs. and bought a smaller bra. Also, my stomach is a bit dimpled now where there used to be more fat.

To be honest I didn't really start to notice it until I put a pictures side by side :)

My boobs always go first... but I couldn't significantly tell I was losing weight until I dropped 30 lbs. Now, near the end, every 5 lbs makes a huge difference!

I really could not tell until I got into like 20-30lbs lost then I realized my clothes were baggier and my pants began to drop. my face lost a lot first as well and people noticed it. i dont see major changes until i see pics side by side. When i look in the mirror i still see the fat girl idk

I really noticed in my face/neck/collarbone area first. I'm pear shaped, and like saef, I noticed the most difference in my already skinnier parts first :) It was nice to lose the double chin. I know I've lost significant inches in my waist and hips, and I know I wear smaller sizes, but I just can't tell as much there yet!

I actually get annoyed because I wish I had a bigger head! I think I'm like odd shaped egg with a huge butt and a tiny head. So then I start losing weight and I notice it in the face first. Which is "uber" annoying to me, because I think my head/face looks so much smaller!

I lost some bloat out of my face quite quickly, and it's always my face that loses first, despite being an apple!

Then my bust - shirts that wouldn't go edge to edge in May now button easily.

What I noticed just a couple of days ago was that although I'm still stout, front to back, somehow side to side I look less overflowing, I'm narrower, if that makes sense.

Just now, after I've lost 20+ lbs have
I started to noticed the changes. I noticed
it in my hips and legs. Both are chunkiest part
of my body, and really where all the weight is.

My poor boobs were the first to go.

I did not notice it until 20lbs and that was because I saw a picture of what I looked like with those 20 on my body. I lost in my face and boob :( I am not the most observant person though

I notice weight loss pretty quickly on myself, but it took others 30 pounds to notice a difference.

I lose water in my face, hands and feet first and then fat from the belly and rear.

I've heard we lose weight in reverse order of how we gained it. My waist steadily and slowly gains and now it steadily and slowly looses. All the weight went into my rear end last and all of the weight has pretty much off there now. My thighs have always been huge. I think the weight went there first right after puberty. And of course, the thighs are a sticking point now.

So if you can pinpoint how you put it on, that's likely how it's going to come off.

It's entirely possible you have lost weight in your feet. I've lost a full shoe size, maybe more like 1.5 sizes. I did not expect that at all!

I noticed my clothes were looser after 15 pounds or so. However, in my Fat Days I did not look in the mirror, period (I mean that. I really didn't look in a mirror larger than my head for ten years) and it wasn't until I'd lost 80 pounds that I started, so my information is skewed. That said, the first place I remember visually noticing and being shocked to see was my wrist/forearm. I think that was about 30-40 pounds down (though, as I've said, I had a lot of habits that involved actively NOT noticing my body, so it's no surprise it took a while.

Yes, my arms have been the most pleasant surprise I've had. My forearms and wrists shaped up nicely pretty early. I still get a kick out of just rubbing my arms and it's distracting when I talk to people. I am endlessly amused by my biceps and triceps.

I've lost about 20 pounds, and I still don't see much of a change when I look in the mirror. But I've noticed that my body feels different, like when I'm soaping up in the shower. There are bones emerging everywhere - the jaw line, the rounded part of my shoulder where it connects with the arm, the collarbone, the rib cage, the hip bones...and some weird pointy bone in my butt. ;) I'm also developing serious leg muscles, which is a total pain when shaving. The only part of my body that doesn't seem to have changed much at all is the tummy, which is my major trouble spot.

Great question/thread! I lost 11 lbs, and do not see a difference. I am sure 20 - 25, with a side by side pic. I can't wait til I can look in the mirror and see a difference. I hate working out in front of a mirror!! LOL

For me it was my face, neck and shoulder/collar bone area, and after 25 lbs my feet and hands were noticeably smaller. I actually just started to use my hands to help me gauge how bloated I am or not. Currently not a vein in site... bloatation!!

In my face, around 10-15 pounds!

I notice a little now but people are really noticing especially those that i havent seen in a while. My weight starts to go in my mid section first also.

I had to struggle through my incorrect body image before I could see any changes. So for awhile, I actually felt much fatter rather than thinner, because I was paying attention rather than hiding in denial. By 250, 30 lbs lost, I could definitely feel the differences when I ran a hand over my skin, but I still couldn't really see it in the mirror.

It took until maybe 230 before I could see it obviously. And now at 210, I can't help but notice how much I've changed. It's very blatant.

For some reason I lose the fat on my back first, then stomach (not waist, from front I look pretty much the same for awhile lol). When I lost 70 lbs few years ago, the next to go was the thighs and butt, then face... the last were my arms and chest/torso/waist area.

I'm currently in the stage of I think I can tell something got smaller, but not sure yet. Maybe 10-15 more pounds.

I've heard the same thing about losing where you last gained.

I'm down 20 lbs and can see it in my face. I also have noticed that armbands on certain shirts that were tight are no longer tight. And dropped a jeans size (18 to 16).

I plan on taking after pictures to document my 20 lbs loss (once I find camera!). Hoping that will really help me see the difference.

I was bigger than you when I started but it took me about 20 pounds before I could tell a difference. My too tight clothes were more comfortable but, mostly, I could see it in my wrists and hands. My watch and rings started getting loose. It is a pattern that I still see today. I lose all over and then stall for awhile. When I stall, I go buy a cheap ring that fits. When that ring starts getting a little loose, I know that my losing cycle is starting again.

I had a hard time SEEING my loss in the mirror. Sometimes I still do. It took about 50 pounds before anyone said anything about me losing but, like I said, I was bigger than you.

You are doing great! Keep going and you will see the difference and certainly feel it.

I have lost 20 and my clothes feel a little looser and I can also tell in my rings. But I have 220 lbs to lose, so I think it will be another 10-20 lbs before I can tell in the mirror. I feel like I look better, but I can't point to any 1 thing.

I've only lost 12 pounds, but I can see it in my face/chin. I can also feel it in my back and waist.

I noticed it in my face pretty quickly. And then my thighs. About 12 lbs in, my jeans were already too baggy in my thighs.
